If you’re an aspiring designer, manufacturer, engineer, artist, architect, or any other type of innovator, this essay scholarship is for you. Description: BrightSprout wants to reward the creative thinking and hard work that goes into writing crosswords with the annual Crossword Scholarship. Each year, a prize will be awarded to one talented student. Instead of the typical essay, the crossword scholarship is awarded to the best puzzle-maker. To apply, students must create and submit one 15×15 newspaper-style crossword puzzle on My Crossword Maker according to the instructions listed on the scholarship’s website. The BrightSprout Crossword Scholarship competition is open to all current or incoming undergraduate students who will be enrolled for the fall 2025 semester or quarter. To be considered for the competition, all crosswords must be original, written solely by the applicant, and not previously published elsewhere. New Jersey Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Foundation Scholarship:

Description:The New Jersey Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Foundation Scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior toward an accredited higher education program. The scholarship will be presented to the winner at the NJVVM 2025 Memorial Day Ceremony. Applicants must have a family member who is an active-duty service member or veteran. The graduating high school senior must have visited the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Alfred B. Glossbrenner Scholarship:

Description:The Alfred B. Glossbrenner Scholarship was established in 1988, in honor of the founding chairman of the AISE Canton District Section. Students eligible to compete for the scholarship must, at the time of application, be the children (natural, step-children, adopted or ward) of a United States citizen or landed immigrant who is a member, in good standing and paid for the past two years, of AIST, or be a Student Member of AIST through the Material Advantage Student Program and attend or live in the AIST Northern Ohio Member Chapter area. The student must also be accepted at an accredited North American university or college studying engineering or metallurgy. AbbVie Immunology Scholarship:

Description:The AbbVie Immunology Scholarship provides financial support for exceptional students living with chronic inflammatory diseases. Applicants must be high school seniors, high school graduates, or current postsecondary undergraduates or graduate students diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis (AS), juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA), psoriatic arthritis (PsA), rheumatoid arthritis (RA), uveitis (UV), Crohn’s disease (CD), ulcerative colitis (UC), hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), psoriasis (Ps), or atopic dermatitis (AD). Qualified applicants must plan to enroll at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school in the U.S. for the entire upcoming academic year to pursue a certificate or an associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree or PhD. Description:The ISL Midwest Senior Scholarship is open to high school seniors, and parents of students, who are legal U.S. residents. They must be planning to attend, physically or virtually, an eligible college the fall following the registration dates. Students must attend college classes offered by a qualifying Title IV eligible college or university that is physically located in the United States of America during the fall 2026 session. John Klusch Scholarship:

Description:The AIASWW Education Scholarship is available to students who plan to pursue architecture as a career and who have been accepted to a university with an accredited architectural degree program. The selection will be based upon the student’s potential as illustrated by the submittal record of previous academic and non-academic success and a narrative describing why they feel a career in architecture is right for them. Scholarships are offered to graduating high school seniors attending a high school in Pierce, Thurston, Lewis, Mason, Pacific, Skamania, Wahkiakum, Clark, Cowlitz or Grays Harbor Counties in Washington State. Pacific Northwest Gold Star Scholarship:

Description: The Pacific Northwest Gold Star Scholarship was established by the Community Military Appreciation  Committee (CMAC), which connects veteran advocacy organizations in and around southwest Washington. Applicants must be the child of a deceased parent who served in the U.S. armed forces in support of the Global War on Terror (2001-Present). Applicants may be either of the following: (1) Be a current or prior resident of Clark, Cowlitz, or Skamania County, WA. (2) The military service parent was a resident of Clark, Cowlitz, or Skamania County in Washington State; or had resided in one of those counties prior to entering military service. Description:The AFA Tuskegee Airmen Memorial Scholarship is offered to Air and Space Force personnel and their families to pursue and conquer their challenges. The award is open to current and former members of the Air and Space Forces to include Active Duty, Air National Guard, and Reservists as well as their spouses, children, and dependents. The scholarship may be applied to undergraduate or graduate degrees at a college or university or to pilot training towards a private pilot’s license at a flight training facility. Description: The Kathi Joy Wiley Scholarship has a strong interest in supporting the most marginalized populations of students who are pursuing any post-secondary education pathway, including all the following: degrees, certificates, proficiencies, or hands-on career skill building. Career pursuits can be anything from Pre-Medicine or Welder, to Certified Truck Driver, or Tattoo Artist, and the list of career pursuits is endless. The scholarship intent is to provide the potential to lift a student out of the circumstances they are in, if they so desire. Students selected to receive this scholarship must be residents of Southwest Washington who are or have been affected by any of, but not limited to, the following circumstances: being a single parent or a widow; being a foster youth or young adult who has aged out of the foster care system (formal or informal); incarceration of self or parents; being an immigrant or refugee, or second-generation immigrant or refugee; living in poverty; have experienced instability in housing and/or being unhoused; living with a disability (developmental, intellectual neurodivergent, physical) or have behavioral issues; recovery from addiction or affected by addiction; identify as LGBTQ2S+; or being a survivor of domestic violence, gender violence, and/or child abuse. Supreme Guardian Council Scholarship:

Description:The Supreme Guardian Council Scholarship is available to members of Job’s Daughters and Majority Members pursuant to the law. Applicants shall be finally judged by the committee and the Scholarship Committee. The factors to be evaluated in awarding the scholarships shall be: (A) Scholarship Standing; (B) Job’s Daughters Activities; (C) Executive Bethel Guardian Council Recommendations; (D) School (faculty) Recommendation; (E) Activities outside of Job’s Daughters. Description: Quad Education is dedicated to helping ambitious, well-deserving students access higher education and realize their dreams. In keeping with our vision, we’ve created the Quad Access to Education Scholarship. Our scholarship is for low-income, high-achieving, first-generation students who demonstrate financial need. Applicants must have a household income of less than $75,000 annually. Applicants must be high school students in their final year of planning to attend college in the next fall term or high school students in their junior year starting their college application preparation. Applicants must submit their ACT/SAT fee waivers forms to confirm demonstrated financial need. Applicants must also follow Quad Education on their social media (YouTube and/or Facebook). Applicants must create a two-minute video of themselves answering the following questions: (1) What are you most passionate about and why? Think about what drives and inspires you. (2) What is your greatest aspiration, and how will attending college realize your dream? Consider where you see yourself in the future and how a college education can help you get there. (3) How would the ATE Scholarship help make applying to college easier, and how would it help you reach your goal? Description: At Mattis Law, we’ve dedicated our practice to Family Law, and we do everything we can to ensure that children and their families will have a safe and happy future. In this spirit, we’re offering a scholarship to benefit a San Diego County high school senior or graduate who wishes to improve their future by pursuing higher education. This scholarship is open to California high school graduates pursuing a four-year college degree and current college students who graduated from a California high school and are pursuing a four-year degree or are currently enrolled in a two-year college and planning to transfer to a four-year college degree program upon completion. Description: The Andrew J. Shields Memorial Scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors who have been enrolled in any accredited Fire Cadet program in Southwest Washington. Applicants must be a graduating senior from a high school in Clark, Cowlitz, or Skamania counties. They must have been enrolled in any accredited Fire Cadet program in Southwest Washington during high school. Students must continue their education at an accredited college, university, career or technical school during the upcoming school year. Students who enlist in the U.S. military and provide proof of their deployment date may have their scholarship award deferred for up to four years. Applicants may submit one letter of recommendation from a Fire Cadet Instructor or Trainer who can speak to their character, leadership, talents, and academic record. Angela Svendsen Memorial Scholarship:

Description: Angela Svendsen grew up in Wenatchee, Washington and earned a Bachelor’s degree in String Performance from Central Washington University in June 1998. Upon graduation she moved to Vancouver, Washington and began teaching private violin lessons and playing the violin professionally. Angela felt that music and education enriched her life and gave her many opportunities for happiness and fulfillment that she might not otherwise have had. Angela’s passion in life was passing her love of music to her students and the audiences for which she performed. If awarded this scholarship, it is the donor’s hope that students would have a chance to further their love of music and life, thereby enriching the world around them. The Angela Svendsen Memorial Scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors from Clark County who plan to pursue a degree in music education or music performance. A significant component of the application is an audio or video recording of a solo work performed by the applicant. Accompaniment is optional. Description: The American Legion Department of Maine Children and Youth Scholarships will be awarded to students who must demonstrate financial need. Please enclose three letters with this application: one from yourself stating why you wish a scholarship and what field you want to work in after college; one from your principal or guidance counselor (other source if you are no longer in high school; and one from an outside person, other than family. Description: Established in 2016, the Ramblers Scholarship supports student athletes pursuing an undergraduate education who self-identify publicly as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, or intersex (LGBTQI), or as demonstrated and committed straight allies. Applicants must be an athlete, all sports and athletic activities qualify. They must be an open and self-identified lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, or intersex person; or a demonstrated and committed ally. Selection of the recipients is based on creative entry, school activities, positions of leadership, special honors and awards, community involvement, academic performance, and professional pursuits. In 2021 we launched another scholarship program offering one student attending a historically black college or university the opportunity to win a college scholarship to help further their education. This year, applicants will be able to apply for both scholarships using the same application below. Students must nominate a favorite teacher who has inspired their creativity for a teacher prize. Oregon PTA Teacher Education Scholarship:

Amount: $1,000

Description: The Oregon PTA Teacher Education Scholarship is for Oregon residents studying for a degree in education at any Oregon public college or university. The scholarship is a one-time award and is not renewable. Scholarship recipients may, however, re-apply in subsequent years. Applicants must submit a Personal Reference and a School Reference. Lawrence Alan Spiegel Remembrance Scholarship:

Description: The Lawrence Alan Spiegel Remembrance Scholarship is awarded annually to the graduating high school senior who authors the prize-winning original essay. Applicants must be a high school senior or home schooler who lives in and attends a secondary institution in Maine, and who has been accepted at any accredited Title IV-eligible college or technical school. Criteria includes originality of voice and viewpoint, structure, command of language and mechanics. Applications may be submitted through email or mail. Energize Your Education College Scholarship:

Description: The Energize Your Education Scholarship for 2025 will be awarded to students for making a positive difference in their community. Applicants must be a high school senior, planning to attend an accredited two- or four-year college degree program in the United States in Fall 2025 or Spring 2026. Description: The CCD Law Spokane Community Scholarship is available to high school seniors who will be attending college in the fall. Doctor Almo Sebastianelli Drum Corps Scholarship:

Description: The Doctor Almo Sebastianelli Drum Corps Scholarship is available to any high school senior who meets the following criteria: a child or grandchild of a Pennsylvania Legionnaire in good standing; or a child or grandchild of a deceased Pennsylvania Legionnaire. To be eligible, a student must be a member of a high school band who is going on to higher education majoring in music. Description: The Dr. J.B. and Mrs. Isabella Bisceglia Scholarship Fund aims to commemorate Dr. J. B. and Mrs. Isabella Bisceglia’s commitment to enhancing educational opportunities for students in need. Applicants must be graduating high school seniors in the Greater Kansas City area who intend to continue their education at a two or four year college/university or a technical school. Student interviews may also be required. Preference will be given to students who are members of Christ Presbyterian Church, Kansas City, Missouri, members of the First Haitian Fellowship at Christ Presbyterian Church or students at Scuola Vita Nuova Charter School. The scholarship is not automatically renewable. To reapply, please complete the renewal application by the deadline each year. Description: The Dr. J.B. and Mrs. Isabella Bisceglia Scholarship Fund for high school students aims to commemorate Dr. J. B. and Mrs. Isabella Bisceglia’s commitment to enhancing educational opportunities for students in need. Applicants must be going into or attending a private high school in the Greater Kansas City area (Clay, Jackson and Platte Counties in Missouri and Johnson and Wyandotte Counties in Kansas). Dwain and Polly Wright Educational Scholarship Fund:

Description: The Dwain and Polly Wright Educational Scholarship Fund was established by the family of John Dwain Wright and Lillian Pauline (Polly) Wright in memory of their faithful support of Macon Public Schools and their belief in the limitless ability of Macon High School students. The scholarship was established to provide support to graduating high school students pursuing a post-secondary education. Applicants must have completed at least two English, Language Arts or Vocational classes. Applicants must submit recommendations from at least three current Macon High School faculty or staff members on the basis of citizenship, courtesy to others, and active support for their school. Preference will be given to students pursuing vocational or technical training or a degree in English or Language Arts. Two students will be awarded; one for the Dwain Wright Scholarship for vocational students going to college or trade school, and one for the Polly Wright Scholarship for college-bound students majoring in English. Evie Penn Memorial Scholarship Fund:

Description: The Evie Penn Memorial Scholarship was established to recognize and financially help students who have battled their way through significant physical obstacles to do well academically and want to further their education. Applicants must be graduating seniors from a Park Hill District High School. Applicants are required to submit two signed teacher letters of recommendations. St. Peter’s Troop 118 Scouting BSA Scholarship Fund:

Description: The St. Peter’s Troop 118 Scouting BSA Scholarship Fund provides an annual scholarship to Boy Scouts who are active in Troop 118 and plan to further their education at a local tuition-based high school in the Kansas City metropolitan area. The students eligible for assistance shall be graduating eighth graders who will be attending a local tuition-based high school and who are currently participating in Boy Scout Troop 118. Applicants must provide the names, telephone numbers and email addresses of three references, other than members of their family. They must indicate their relationship to them as the applicant. Arizona Nursery Association Foundation Scholarships:

Amount: $500 – $5,000
Closing Date: May 6, 2026

Description: The Arizona Nursery Association Foundation awards scholarships to worthy students each year. ANAFUND provides financial assistance to undergraduate and graduate college and university students who have demonstrated an interest in the horticulture, agriculture, agriculture education, agribusiness, and landscape architecture field who are from Arizona. The amounts of the scholarships vary, depending on available funds and number of applications. ANAFUND also funds continuing education opportunities for current nursery employees. Applicants must be currently or planning to be enrolled in a horticultural related curriculum at a university, community college or continuing education program. They must be currently employed in or have an interest in the nursery industry as a career. Applicants must also have an above average scholastic achievement or at least two years work experience in the industry; and, display involvement in extra-curricular activities related to the industry. Two letters of recommendation are required, they must be from an ornamental horticulture instructor, counselor, employer, club/activity advisory, community or church leader, dated and signed in the current year. Description: The Eileen Kraus Scholarship was established in 2016 in partnership with Kaman Corporation. The scholarship will be awarded to one outstanding Connecticut woman beginning her first year of college or university. No one who seeks the enlightenment of a college education should be denied one for financial reasons. Description: LPA, Inc. has established the LPA Diversity in Design Scholarship to champion the design professions among students from underrepresented demographics. LPA, Inc. is looking for students who have an interest in pursuing careers that shape the built environment where people live, work, learn, and play. Applicants must be high school seniors in states California and Texas. They must have been accepted at an accredited NAAB, LAAB, ABET, CIDA, NASAD, four or five-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year. They must be pursuing a degree in one of the following majors associated with the building and design industry: Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Interior Architecture/Design, Architectural Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Science, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related degree. Applicants must be a student who has overcome significant challenges in their academic pursuit and/or belong to a group historically underrecognized or marginalized within the building and design industry. They must also be legally authorized to work in the United States. Preference is given to students who have overcome significant challenges in their academic pursuit and/or belong to a group historically underrecognized or marginalized within the design and building industries. Awards are renewable for up to three years or until a bachelor’s degree or for four years or until a Bachelor of Architecture (BARCH) degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Awards may be renewed for the fourth year for a bonafide five-year undergraduate program upon sponsor review. Walter A. Hunt, Jr. Scholarship:

Description: The Walter A. Hunt, Jr. Scholarship aims to promote and encourage the study of architecture by New York City public high school students through a two-year scholarship to supplement tuition and related costs during their freshman and sophomore years at a NAAB-accredited school of architecture in the U.S. Applicants must be current New York City public high school seniors who have been accepted to a 5-year Bachelor of Architecture program at a NAAB-accredited School of Architecture in the U.S. Students at NYC Charter High Schools are eligible. Students at private, parochial or other schools where tuition is charged are not eligible. Applicants are encouraged to submit the portfolio which had been previously submitted to the Bachelor of Architecture program they are pursuing, if applicable. The digital portfolio must consist of at least 3-4 pieces of the student’s own visual art, design, or architecture work, though applicants may submit additional work if they feel it is relevant to their application. Projects may be 2-D or 3-D, and can be both finished and/or in-process projects. If a group project is submitted, the student must indicate their role in the project. Two letters of recommendation are required. Applicants are encouraged to submit the recommendation letters previously submitted to the Bachelor of Architecture program they are pursuing. One recommendation letter must be from a teacher in their high school; the second may be from an employer, person in the field of architecture or other adult.
