Description: The Jacob Blanck New Scholar Award honors Jacob Blanck, editor of the Bibliography of American Literature (1943-1974). This award recognizes bibliographical and book historical scholarship focusing on printed works of writers of the United States and their publishers. Booksellers, librarians, curators, collectors, junior (i.e., untenured) academics, graduate students at the dissertation level, and independent scholars are all welcome to apply. Description: The Malkin New Scholar Award honors Mary Ann O’Brian Malkin (1913-2005), a book collector and longtime contributor to the Antiquarian Bookman/AB Bookman’s Weekly who pursued bibliographical interests in dance, Americana, and the booktrade. Established by Terry Belanger in 2006. Description: The Dorothy Porter Wesley New Scholar Award supports new bibliographical scholarship conducted by a Black individual. This award was endowed with a lead gift from Lisa Unger Baskin in honor of Dorothy Porter Wesley. American Association of University Women International Fellowships:

Amount: $20,000 – $25,000

Closing Date: September 17, 2026

Description: AAUW’s International Fellowships promotes education and equity for women by investing in international applicants who will be pursuing postgraduate studies or research in the U.S., with the intention of applying their expertise, professional skills, and leadership in the context of their home countries. In addition, up to 5 awards are available to Graduate Women International members for study in any country other than their own. International Fellowships are specifically designed for non-US citizens or permanent residents, with a track record of academic excellence and empowering other women and girls. International Fellowships carry a stipend of $20,000 for a master’s degree and $25,000 for a doctorate degree. Applicants must be admitted or enrolled in their first master’s or an academic or professional doctorate degree at the time of application. Applicants must begin their program on or before September 1, 2026, and complete it on or after April 30, 2027. Applicants must possess at least one academic degree (earned in the US or abroad) that is equivalent to a US bachelor’s degree. Applicants may apply for only one degree type and in a single specific field. In the case of applicants pursuing a dual degree, they must select one of the fields. Applicants must reside in the US or country of their research for the duration of the fellowship period. Applicants intending to study in another country other than their own or the US must be members of Graduate Women International and pursue study at an international institution recognized as eligible to participate in US federal student aid programs, as listed on the Federal Student Aid Participating Schools list. The award may only be renewed for students pursuing a Master’s degree. Applicants must provide two letters of recommendation from advisors, professors, colleagues, or others who are academically or professionally familiar with the applicant, their work, professional qualifications, and academic background. Mildred Barry Garvin Prize:

Description: The Mildred Barry Garvin Prize is given every year to a K-12 New Jersey teacher, guidance counselor, or school librarian for outstanding teaching of African American history, or for outstanding performance in a related activity (i.e., curriculum development). Candidates must complete the online Nomination Form. Nominations for the Mildred Barry Garvin Prize must include a statement explaining why the nominee deserves the award and a curriculum vitae. NASP-ERT Graduate Student Research Grants Program:

Amount: $1,000

Description: The NASP Graduate Student Research Grants (GSRG) program was created by the NASP Research Committee to support high-quality, theory-driven, graduate student research that furthers the mission and goals of NASP. The Committee intends to award at least one grant for thesis-level research and at least one grant for dissertation-level research, pending a sufficient pool of competitive applicants at each level. Applicants must be enrolled in a School Psychology graduate education program and be regular or student members of NASP at the time of application. The proposed research may be a thesis or dissertation required for completion of the graduate education program, but this is not a necessity. The student must be the principal investigator, and this must be clearly indicated in all application and proposal materials. Research topics that demonstrate innovation and/or creativity will be awarded up to 3 bonus points. This may include, but is not limited to studies that are highly innovative or show originality in concept, design, or methodology. The proposal narrative must include the following elements: (a) title page, (b) introduction (c) explanation of the purpose for the project, including reference to relevant research literature and theory, (d) research questions and hypotheses, (e) methodology, (f) data analytic plan, (g) description of the study’s unique and substantive contribution to the science and/or practice of school psychology, and (h) references.
