Description: Did you know more than 100,000 people are waiting for a lifesaving transplant? As a high school senior, you have the power to raise awareness about the importance of registering to be an organ, eye and tissue donor through the Leslie A. Ebert Legacy of Life Scholarship Program. Applicants must write a persuasive essay and/or produce a video that educates, then motivates, an audience to become registered organ, eye and tissue donors. All essay and video entrants must be current high school seniors who (1) both reside and attend high school, or are home-schooled, in one of the following locations: The state of Maryland; Northern Virginia (in specific counties as well as the independent cities of Alexandria, Falls Church, Fairfax, Fredericksburg, Manassas, and Manassas Park); and the District of Columbia; and (2) plan to attend a college, university or community college in the 2025 Fall semester. Gus Archie Memorial Scholarship:

Amount: $5,000

Description: The Gus Archie Memorial Scholarship is supported by the SPE Foundation and awards an outstanding student who plans to enter a university and pursue an undergraduate degree in petroleum engineering. The recipient will receive the scholarship for up to four years of university study. This is a merit-based scholarship. Recipients are typically in the top 3 percent in both class ranking and standardized test scores. Applicants must intend to enroll in a recognized university program according to their country or region. They must become an SPE member once eligible and comply with the sanction policy. Golf Course Superintendents Association of America Legacy Awards:

Description: The GCSAA Legacy Awards competition offers education aid to the children and grandchildren of GCSAA members. Applicants must be enrolled at an accredited institution of higher learning, or for high school seniors, they must have been accepted at such an institution for the next academic year. Graduating high school seniors must include a letter of acceptance with the application. If the applicant is currently serving or has served in any branch of the military, they are eligible if they are enrolled in a minimum of 3 credit hours per every 9 weeks at an accredited institution of higher learning, technical school, or online program. Past winners are ineligible to apply the following year. They may reapply after a one-year hiatus. The Sergeant Andrew Edmund Topham Memorial Scholarship:

Description: The Sergeant Andrew Edmund Topham Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually in perpetuity to a deserving student. Preference will be given to students who are family members of veterans who served in either Afghanistan or Iraq as part of the Global War on Terrorism. The Army Scholarship Foundation awards one-year financial scholarships on an annual basis to qualified and deserving students. Scholarship recipients may apply to renew their scholarships annually for a total of four years of higher education. Canadian Bates Scholarship Program:

Amount: $2,000 – $3,000

Description: The Canadian Bates Scholarship program is administered through Universities Canada, located in Ottawa, Ontario. The scholarship may be awarded for up to four consecutive years. To be considered for the 2025 Canadian Bates Scholarship, a student must be the child or stepchild of a Canadian BAC member in good standing of a Canadian BAC Local, and a graduating high school senior who plans to attend college in the fall of 2025. American Association of Blacks in Energy Scholarships:

Amount: $3,000 – $5,000

Description: The American Association of Blacks in Energy proudly supports the academic achievements of students who desire careers in the energy industry, by awarding scholarships to those students who meet the minimum scholarship qualifications. Six regional scholarships will be awarded at $3000 each; and one national scholarship will be awarded at $5000. The national scholarship will be awarded for up to 4 years. Applicants must be graduating high school seniors who intend to enroll next semester in an accredited college or university pursuing a major in business, one of the physical sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics fields (STEM). AABE William Grant Pinkard Scholarship Fund:

Description: The American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) is a professional organization of African Americans in the energy industry. Through its Scholarship Program, AABE seeks to help increase the number of African Americans, Hispanics and Native Americans (underrepresented minorities) in energy related fields. The William Grant Pinkard Scholarship was named after a member of the Kansas-Missouri Chapter of the AABE who best exemplified the organization’s purpose and goals. William Grant Pinkard, II was a dedicated and active member. Applicants must have, minimally, an overall “B” unweighted academic average (3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale); be a graduating high school senior who has applied to one or more accredited colleges/universities; plan to major in business, one of the physical sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics fields; and be a member of one of a class or group of individuals who has been historically underrepresented in the sciences, technology, engineering and math related disciplines. Logan Telephone Cooperative Educational Scholarship:

Amount: $1,000 – $2,000

Description: LTC Connect will again be awarding scholarships in 2025 to deserving high school senior students in the LTC Connect service area. Only students whose parents or guardians have membership in good standing with LTC Connect qualify for these scholarships. However, children of LTC Connect employees and directors are not eligible for consideration. Also, to qualify, students should already be accepted to the school of their choice. This is optional but students may submit a maximum of three letters of recommendation from their guidance counselor, principal, teachers, or others as part of their application for the scholarship. Description: In his short span of life, Avinash “Avi” Raina, made an impact on people that usually takes a lifetime. To continue his legacy and passion, the Avi Raina Scholarship was established to benefit local high school seniors. Applicants must be a graduating high school senior in San Joaquin County. Description: The Stockton Student Athletes Scholarship Fund was established to support students who will be playing on college sports teams. These are renewable scholarships, which means students could receive the scholarship for over four years. Applicants must be a high school senior at any school located in the City of Stockton. They must pursue an undergraduate degree in any major at an accredited college or university. Applicants must also plan to play collegiate level sports (in any sport). Robert G. Porter Scholars Program:

Amount: $1,000 – $8,000

Description: The Robert G. Porter Scholars Program offers four 4-year, $8,000 post-secondary scholarships to students who are dependents of AFT members, as well as 10 one-time $1,000 grants to AFT members to assist with their continuing education and/or fund their proposed ideas to strengthen and grow their union. The scholarships will be awarded to accomplished high school students who show outstanding service to their community and an understanding of the role unions can play to create a more just society. The AFT Robert G. Porter Scholars Program for high school students is open to graduating high school seniors. Applicants must have at least one parent or legal guardian who is an AFT member. The AFT member whose child or legal dependent applies for a scholarship must be a member in good standing for at least one year. The scholarship award is paid out over a four- to six-year period, depending on the length of time the recipient will use to obtain a degree. The grants will be awarded to accomplished AFT members who seek to implement ideas for their union about the role union members can play in collectively reclaiming the promise of a more just society for all. Stephenson Rife Community Involvement Scholarship Award:

Description: Stephenson Rife is pleased to announce the availability of a scholarship for students entering their first year of a postsecondary institution at the beginning of the next academic year (August 2025). This scholarship is designed to encourage and reward dedication of an exemplary individual who is deeply involved in the Shelby County community that surrounds them. Description: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers Foundation has established a scholarship program to assist female high school seniors participating in a form of football (touch, flag, tackle, etc.) who plan to continue their education in college. Garner Trust Scholarship:

Description: The Garner Trust Scholarship is available to students that will attend an Arkansas college, university, or technical/trade school. It will not be transferable to an out of state institution of higher learning. Applicants must be children, grandchildren, or great-grandchildren of American Legionnaires in good standing of two or more consecutive years’ membership. Stepchildren of living Legionnaires may apply if their parent is currently married to the Legion member. Children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of deceased Legionnaires are also eligible. Applicants or Legionnaires must be a resident of Arkansas. Applicants must have received a high school diploma or the equivalent by the time this scholarship will be awarded or be a graduate of a two-year college from an Arkansas Institution. Applicants must provide one character reference in business letter format from an official of the student’s school, one letter of endorsement from an American Legion Post officer (local preferred), and one from an unrelated person belonging to none of the above. Description: The Taiwanese American Scholarship Fund is focused on helping economically-challenged Taiwanese American youth fulfill their dreams of obtaining higher education. Description: The CentraState Associated Auxiliaries Scholarship Program will offer three scholarships each year to students and adults who live and volunteer in the CentraState service area.
