Awarded to students who demonstrate academic excellence and have a qualifying connection to the Third Marine Division — including children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, or legal dependents of members who served, were killed in action, or who hold current Association membership of at least two consecutive years. Recently honorably discharged Third Marine Division members may also apply. Awards cover any accredited college, university, or approved post-high school trade program, up to four years of undergraduate study. Applications may be submitted by mail or email.

Communication Contest for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing

Open to contestants through grade 12 in the U.S., Canada, CEGEP in Quebec, and equivalent programs worldwide who are certified to have an uncorrected hearing loss of 40 decibels or more (audiogram or Cochlear Implant Programming Report required, completed within 24 months of the contest). Contestants deliver a 4–5 minute presentation on “How Optimism Has Guided Me Through Trying Times” using sign language, oral presentation, or a combination. Students from public schools and schools with special services are both eligible.

AIChE Minority Affairs Community’s Minority Scholarship Awards for College Students

Golden Key Humanitarian/Service Response Award

Recognizes promising young engineers and scientists in electrochemical engineering, established in 1990 through a gift from The Dow Chemical Company Foundation. Candidates must be enrolled in or accepted for enrollment as a graduate student by the nomination deadline. Requires a letter verifying active celebration of Polish heritage and a letter verifying active community service (neither may come from a family member). PRCUA Fraternal Scholarship

Established by the Navajo Nation in 1980 to recognize high-achieving high school graduates. Applicants must meet a minimum ACT composite score (SAT scores converted), a minimum cumulative GPA, and have completed Navajo Language and Navajo Government courses prior to graduation (online options available; a score of 85% or better on the Navajo Language Renaissance exam fulfills the language requirement). Continuing undergraduate students with 24+ semester credit hours and a 3.0+ cumulative GPA may also qualify. For Navajo students pursuing graduate-level degrees at an ONNSFA-recognized accredited institution. Full-time graduates must earn nine or more semester credit hours with a 3.0 or higher term GPA; medical, veterinary, and law students must earn at least a 2.0 or “passing” grade.
