Eileen S. and Earl C. Whittemore Advance Practiced/Nurse Practitioner Scholarship

MNF and The Gulf Coast Community Foundation will award a scholarship to an APRN student on behalf of the Eileen S. and Earl C. Whittemore, Jr Fund. The applicant must be a member of the Mississippi Nurses’ Association. Applicants must hold a current, unrestricted Mississippi RN license. They must submit a letter from school verifying acceptance or enrollment in an accredited nurse practitioner program. Applicants must also submit two professional letters of reference. Payments shall be made in two equal disbursements for the Fall and Spring semesters for the 2025-2026 academic year, as long as the recipient maintains eligibility. GeneTex Scholarship Program

GeneTex believes in accelerating scientific advancement and the notion that the genesis of future discoveries begins with the support of young scientists now. The GeneTex Scholarship Program will award a scholarship to students pursuing a STEM undergraduate or graduate degree. The National Science Foundation defines STEM majors as life sciences, physical sciences, social sciences, computer sciences and mathematics. Oregon Sheep Growers Association Scholarship

In an effort to promote Oregon’s sheep industry and provide educational opportunities for students majoring in agriculture-related fields of study, the Oregon Sheep Growers Association offers a scholarship award to qualified students. The recipient is not required to attend an Oregon college or university. The recipient must be majoring in an agriculture-related field of study, agricultural sciences, or pre-veterinary medicine, with a career interest in the sheep industry. L.S.B. Leakey Foundation Research Grants

The Leakey Foundation exclusively funds research related to human origins. Priority of funding is commonly given to exploratory phases of promising new research projects that meet the stated purpose of the Foundation. Advanced doctoral students, post-doctoral researchers, and established scientists are eligible for Leakey Foundation Research Grants. This program exclusively funds research related to human origins, including dissertation research and exploratory studies. The disciplines supported include archaeology, biological anthropology, paleoanthropology, primate behavioral ecology, genetics, geology, anatomy, morphology, paleobotany, and paleoclimatology. Children of Veterans Tuition Grant

The Children of Veterans Tuition Grant provides undergraduate tuition assistance to students who are the natural or adopted child of a Michigan veteran. The veteran must have died or became totally and permanently disabled as a result of military service. The Veteran must have been a legal resident of Michigan immediately before entering military service and did not later reside outside of Michigan for more than two years; or the veteran must have established legal residency in Michigan after entering military service. Prosmushkin Law’s $1000 Semi-Annual College Scholarship Program

The scholarship is intended to relieve a small amount of that financial burden, by subsidizing the costs of textbooks and supplies for one semester. The essay contest will be held twice a year, intended to provide financial support for the spring and fall semesters. The H. Thomas Austern Writing Competition is intended to encourage law students interested in the areas of law affecting FDA-regulated industries: food, drugs, medical devices, biologics, dietary supplements, cosmetics, veterinary, cannabis, or tobacco and nicotine products. Top papers will be considered for publication in the Food and Drug Law Journal. Students currently enrolled in a JD program at any of the nation’s ABA-accredited law schools and 2024-2025 academic year graduates are eligible to participate. Submissions that have been submitted to other writing contests are acceptable. However, articles must be unpublished at the time of judging in order to remain in consideration for the competition. Articles that have been accepted for forthcoming publication will still be eligible for placement in the competition but will not be considered for publication in the Food and Drug Law Journal. Published papers will be disqualified from the Austern Competition. Paper topics are limited to FDA and regulated agencies’ laws and regulations. Topical focus should be on FDA-regulated industries: food, drugs, animal drugs, biologics, cosmetics, diagnostics, dietary supplements, medical devices, veterinary devices, cannabis, or tobacco and nicotine products. Upjohn Institute Dissertation Award

The W.E. Upjohn Institute for Employment Research announces its 30th annual prize for the best PhD dissertation on employment-related issues. The Institute has sponsored dissertation awards each year since 1995. A first prize of $2,500 is being offered. Up to two honorable mention awards of $1,000 may also be given. The CLA Scholarship for Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) Students in Memory of Edna Yelland encourages and supports students in the attainment of a graduate degree in library or information studies and encourages commitment to the improvement of library services to BIPOC students. Recipients are each awarded $2,500, and one-year student membership to CLA, and honored at the CLA annual conference. Recipients are encouraged to enroll into CLA’s Mentoring Program. Pacific Health Research PhD Scholarship

The Pacific Health Research PhD Scholarship provides three years of personal support of up to $30,000 per annum, plus tuition fees, up to $10,000 in total research working expenses, and a $3,000 tufungatika allowance, for outstanding graduate students in any discipline whose proposed research programme will contribute to improving health and economic outcomes for Pacific peoples. Applicants must be a New Zealand citizen or hold residency in New Zealand and be of indigenous Pacific descent. Most applicants will be enrolled full-time for a research-based degree at the doctoral level, usually a Doctor of Philosophy at a New Zealand University. However, we will consider other applications from students enrolled in other doctoral research degrees or who are enrolled part-time. If a student has not yet enrolled for their proposed course of study, but are intending to do so, they can still apply. Please note, programmes of study where the primary focus is a clinical practice qualification rather than advancing the individual’s research skills do not meet the PhD grant requirements. Pacific Health Research Masters Scholarship

The Pacific Health Research Masters Scholarship provides up to $20,000 towards one year of personal support, plus tuition fees and a $1,000 tikanga allowance, for students completing the research component of a master’s degree in any discipline whose proposed research programme will contribute to improving health and economic outcomes for Pacific peoples. Working expenses are not included in this award. Applicants must be a New Zealand citizen or hold residency in New Zealand and be of indigenous Pacific descent. Most successful applicants are enrolled full-time for a master’s degree; however, we do consider applications from students who are enrolled part-time. Students who have yet to enroll for their proposed course of study, but they intend to do so, can also apply. During the tenure of the scholarship, the student’s only activity must be the conduct of research and the preparation of a thesis or dissertation. If they are undertaking courses involving the completion of papers only, they won’t be eligible for this scholarship. Applicants must submit evidence of collaboration/support. Pacific Health Research Postdoctoral Fellowship

The Pacific Health Research Postdoctoral Fellowship provides support for outstanding graduates who have recently completed a degree at doctoral level and who propose to conduct research in any discipline related to improving the health of Pacific peoples. The value of this fellowship is based on a salary at a postdoctoral fellow level for 3 years and includes up to $105,000 for research expenses, an annual allowance of $2,500 to travel to a scientific meeting and a Tufungatika allowance of $3000 over the tenure of the Fellowship. Applicants must be a New Zealand citizen or hold residency in New Zealand, and be of indigenous Pacific descent. Applicants must also need to have a proven track record of research in the area of Pacific health development, hold a degree of doctor of philosophy (or an equivalent degree), and not have had more than five years of postdoctoral experience.
