Cynthia H. Kuo Scholarship:

Amount: $5,000
Closing Date: March 25, 2025
Description: The Cynthia H. Kuo Scholarship is for Chinese students who are studying in the Bay Area and are actively involved in the Christian faith and/or youth group. Applicants must be a graduating high school senior or a current college student. Applicants must be Chinese students who are either first-generation in the U.S. or born overseas, planning to attend a four-year college in the U.S. on a full-time basis, and they must be actively involved in the Christian faith or Christian youth group for the last two years. ASM Global Stars Scholarship Program:

Amount: $2,500
Closing Date: March 25, 2025
Description: As the world’s leading venue management company and producer of live event experiences, ASM Global is offering the ASM Global Stars Scholarship Program, which reflects the commitment to providing diverse and under-resourced communities with educational and career development opportunities through scholarship awards and prospective internships. Applicants must self-identify as one or more of the following: Female (any race/ethnicity), Black or African American, American Indian or Alaska Native, Hispanic or Latino, Asian, or Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander. Applicants must also be high school seniors or graduates, or current undergraduate students residing in the United States. They must be pursuing a degree in either Business/International Business (Marketing, Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources); Hospitality, Entertainment, Sports Management; Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media; Information Technology; or Graphic Design. Applicants must also reside within 25 miles in one of the eligible cities. Two will be granted to students who reside or attend a school in Kent County, Michigan; and two awards will be granted to students who reside within 25 miles of New Orleans, LA. American Legion Legacy Scholarship:

Amount: $5,000 – $20,000
Closing Date: March 27, 2025
Description: The American Legion Legacy Scholarship is a needs-based scholarship designed to fulfill a financial gap remaining after all federal and state educational grants or scholarships available to an eligible applicant have been utilized. Those who may apply are children of U.S. military members who died while on active duty on or after Sept. 11, 2001; and children of post-9/11 veterans having been assigned a combined disability rating of 50 percent or greater by the Department of Veterans Affairs also qualify. Each needs-based scholarship provides up to $20,000 for children of the fallen, and up to $5,000 for children of the disabled for undergraduate or post-graduate college. Recipients may reapply for additional annual awards up to six times. Scholarship America Dream Award:

Amount: $10,000

Description: Scholarship America has established a scholarship program to help students planning to enroll or are currently enrolled in higher education programs. Applicants must be current college undergraduates from any U.S. state; or high school seniors or graduates from Bayfield WI or Cleveland MN. Applicants must also be U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents (holders of a Permanent Resident Card), or individuals granted deferred action status under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program (DACA). Applicants must plan to enroll or be studying to obtain their first Associate’s or first Bachelor’s degree. Scholarship semifinalists are selected on the basis of financial need, academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, and work experience. Awards are renewable for up to three additional years or until a first bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Additionally, if selected as a semifinalist, an online recommendation will need to be completed by a teacher, counselor, or work supervisor. Howard Coughlin Memorial Scholarship:

Amount: Up to $6,500
Closing Date: March 29, 2025
Description: The Howard Coughlin Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to a member or an associate member of OPEIU in good standing up until the date of endorsement by the Local Union President or Secretary-Treasurer. The son, daughter, stepchild or legally adopted child of an OPEIU member in good standing or an associate member may also apply. A high school senior or high school graduate, or students presently enrolled in an undergraduate degree are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Twelve full-time scholarships will be awarded, with a payment of $1,625.00 for each year of higher education with a maximum value of $6,500.00, pending proof of enrollment. Eight part-time scholarships will be awarded, with a payment of $662.50 for each year of part-time higher education with a maximum value of $2,650.00, pending proof of enrollment. Richard L. Taylor Flight Training Scholarship:

Amount: $1,500
Closing Date: March 29, 2025
Description: The Richard L. Taylor Flight Training Scholarship is the newest addition to the National Air Transportation Foundation’s scholarship program. The scholarship is offered to a college or university student continuing his or her education in the aviation industry. Applicants must be enrolled in a flight program through the college or university with aspirations to become a professional pilot (general or commercial aviation). They must have a private pilot’s license. A senior in high school planning a career in the general aviation field may also apply. Interested students must complete an application and submit it along with the required documents no later than the last Friday in March. If applying as an incoming college freshman, please include an official high school transcript and an acceptance letter from the college or university at which you will be attending. If applying while enrolled in college or university, please include an unofficial college or university transcript showing a 3.0 or greater GPA. Charles and Melva T. Owen Memorial Scholarship:

Description: First established by Charles Owen in loving memory of his blind wife, this scholarship is now endowed to honor the memory of both. The Charles and Melva T. Owen Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to students who must be pursuing or planning to pursue a post-secondary course of study in a degree program at a U.S. institution in the fall of the year of application. One scholarship may be given to a person employed full-time while attending school part-time. Applicants must be legally blind in both eyes. Applicants do not have to be U.S. citizens but they must be residing in the United States, the District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico. They must be 18 years of age by July 3, 2024. Applicants do not need to be an NFB member to win. At least one letter of recommendation is required; more letters are permitted. The best letters come from an authoritative source and provide verification of the applicant’s excellence with examples of their level of scholarship, ability as a leader, community involvement, or fineness of character. For the proof of legal blindness, applicants do not need to send actual medical records. They just need to provide a clear statement from a qualified professional that certifies they are “legally blind” in both eyes according to the federal definition. Description: The Kenneth Jernigan Scholarship is given yearly by the American Action Fund for Blind Children and Adults, a nonprofit organization that works to enhance the lives of blind people. This scholarship will be awarded to students who must be pursuing or planning to pursue a post-secondary course of study in a degree program at a U.S. institution in the fall of the year of application. One scholarship may be given to a person employed full-time while attending school part-time. Applicants must be legally blind in both eyes. Description: The Pearson Scholarship is funded by Pearson Education and is given to a student who plans a career in education. This scholarship will be awarded to students who must be pursuing or planning to pursue a post-secondary course of study in a degree program at a U.S. institution in the fall of the year of application. One scholarship may be given to a person employed full-time while attending school part-time. Applicants must be legally blind in both eyes. Northeastern Loggers’ Association Scholarships:

Amount: $500 – $1,000

Description: Ever aware of the high cost of continuing education, NELA offers a competitive scholarship program for the immediate families of Individual Members, and the employees and immediate families of Industrial and Associate Members. Awards are granted annually to applicants who submit a short essay on an assigned topic. Essays are judged and winners selected on the basis of the quality of the writing and the student’s academic standing. The three categories are: seniors in high school, students in an associate or technical degree program, and students in a bachelor degree program. Students may apply by preparing a 1000-word essay, or a captioned photo-essay, or a 7-minute audio essay, or 7-minute video essay presentation on the assigned topic. The College Monk’s Scholarship to Pay off Student Loans:

Description: The College Monk’s Scholarship to Pay off Student Loans is a scholarship contest that is open even to those applicants under the DACA status, legal US citizens and even International students with a valid student visa can also apply. Applicants must be currently enrolled or enroll no later than the fall of 2022 in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education. Women Marines Association Memorial Scholarships:

Amount: $5,000

Description: The Women Marines Association Memorial Scholarships will be awarded to qualified applicants sponsored by WMA members in good standing. To qualify for review, the applicant must satisfy with proof of one of the below criteria: (A) Have served, or serving in the United States Marine Corps or Marine Corps Reserve; (B) or be a direct descendant by blood, legal adoption, or stepchild of a Marine on active duty, or who has served honorably in the United States Marine Corps, Regular or Reserve; (C) or be a sibling, legal adoption, or stepchild of a Marine on active duty, or who has served honorably in the United States Marine Corps, Regular or Reserve; (D) or be a spouse of a Marine; (E) or have completed two years in the Marine Corps JROTC program; (F) or currently active in the Young Marines Program; (G) or be sponsored by a current WMA member in good standing. All applicants must be enrolled as full-time students to be eligible for a WMA Scholarship. Master/PhD applicants are required to take at least six each semester. Description: The Beyond the Cure (BTC) Ambassador Scholarship award is a competitive application process. Applicants must be a childhood cancer survivor under the age of 25 and diagnosed before the age of 18 with cancer or a high grade or anaplastic brain tumor. They must be citizens of the United States living within the country and attending school in the U.S in the fall of 2023. High school seniors and home-schooled high school seniors may apply. Description: The CBC Spouses Performing Arts Scholarship was established in honor of the late Curtis Mayfield to ensure that African American or Black students pursuing a degree in the performing arts receive financial assistance. Performing arts include theater, drama, comedy, music, dance, opera, marching bands, and other musical ensembles. Applicants must be preparing to pursue, or currently pursuing, an undergraduate, graduate or doctoral degree. Current high school seniors are also eligible to apply. Description: The CBC Spouses Visual Arts Scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to African American or Black students pursuing a degree in the visual arts. Visual arts include architecture, ceramics, drawing, fashion, graphic design, illustration, interior design, painting, photography, sketching, video production, etc. Applicants must be preparing to pursue, or currently pursuing, an undergraduate, graduate or doctoral degree at an accredited college or university. Description: The Tracking Foundation Multi-Year Scholarship Program awards academically talented and highly motivated African-American or Black students pursuing an undergraduate degree in all discipline areas. Current high school seniors are also eligible to apply. This scholarship is renewed on a yearly basis up to 4 years, upon meeting the renewal requirements. Description: Lockheed Martin has established a scholarship program to provide opportunities to students studying select STEM degrees that demonstrate financial need and come from underrepresented or underserved communities. Applicants must be a high school senior, or a freshman, sophomore, or a junior undergraduate student. Description: The Army ROTC Study.com Scholarship will be given to a student enrolled in Army ROTC at their college or university. Study.com wants to recognize students who have the dedication and strength of character necessary to be successful in the competitive ROTC program. Description: AFA’s Teen Alzheimer’s Awareness Scholarship provides educational funding to college-bound high school seniors who have been impacted by Alzheimer’s disease. Applicants are asked to write an essay or submit a video no more than 4 minutes long, describing the impact of Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia-related illness on themselves, their families or their communities, and what they have learned. Golden Apple Scholars Program in Illinois:

Description: The Golden Apple Scholars Program in Illinois is a teacher preparation and tuition assistance program for high school seniors and freshman and sophomore Illinois college students who have the determination and drive to be highly effective teachers in Illinois schools-of-need. We prepare aspiring teachers for immediate and lasting success in the most challenging teaching environments. Standardized test scores are optional and not required for acceptance to the Golden Apple Scholars Program, however, home school students are required to submit test scores for application review. Students accepted into the Scholars program must submit test scores after induction to assist in research purposes. The Renaissance Fund Scholarship Program:

Amount: $5,000
Closing Date: April 1, 2025
Description: The Renaissance Fund Scholarship Program will award scholarships to eligible undergraduate and graduate students attending eligible educational institutions within the United States. Scholarships are awarded for the purposes of providing educational assistance to recipients with true and verifiable financial need who are of Greek heritage or are actively involved with the Eastern Orthodox faith. The Renaissance Fund has an anti-ChatGPT Policy. Artificial intelligence language models, such as ChatGPT, may not be used for or in the preparation of your Personal Statement. If you are a high school senior applying for an undergraduate scholarship, please provide your high school transcript. If the applicant is applying on the basis of affiliation with the Eastern Orthodox Church, please provide evidence of that affiliation. This could be a letter from a Priest or other document evidencing the affiliation. Applicants may apply on the basis of their own Greek Heritage of their parents or grandparents. Description: The Dr. Michael Dorizas Memorial Scholarship honors the late Dr. Michael Dorizas, a widely respected educator, lecturer and athlete. Applicants must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited four-year college or university, or they must be high school seniors accepted for enrollment in such a degree program, and have outstanding academic qualifications. Description: The Hattie Tedrow Memorial Fund Scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior, who’s also a direct descendant (child, grandchild, etc.) of a veteran with honorable service in the U.S. military, and intends to further their education at an accredited school of higher education. Proof of acceptance to an accredited school of higher education is required at the time of application for the scholarship. Applicants must also include proof of military service in their application. Form DD214 is preferred, sensitive information such as social security number, etc. should be redacted. Images of cemetery headstones are not considered proof of service. If a student is homeschooled, the home school must be accredited and proof of grade level provided. The student will have two years from the date of graduation from high school to use the award. Scholarship selection criteria will be based on high school academic performance, community involvement, leadership, extracurricular activities and a written essay. Description: The Hellenic University Club of Philadelphia Founders Scholarship honors the founders of the Hellenic University Club of Philadelphia. Description: The Maureen L. and Howard N. Blitman, P.E., Scholarship to Promote Diversity in Engineering is awarded annually to a high school senior from an ethnic minority who has been accepted into an ABET-accredited engineering program. The scholarship is awarded in two disbursements of $2,500 each at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters of the freshman year. A resume or summary of internship or co-op experience(s) and involvement in other activities, and recommendation letters from two faculty members who have taught the applicant must be submitted. Description: The Dimitri J. Ververelli Memorial Scholarship for Architecture and/or Engineering is offered to a qualified student pursuing a degree in the field of architecture or engineering. This scholarship was established by Mrs. Anastasia Ververelli to honor her husband, Dimitri J. Ververelli, a past president of the Hellenic University Club of Philadelphia. Applicants must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited four-year college or university, or they must be high school seniors accepted for enrollment in such a degree program, and have outstanding academic qualifications. Applicants must also be of Greek descent or a student who has declared major in Hellenic Studies, regardless of heritage. High school seniors may submit their SAT/ACT scores, if available. Hawaii Education Association Graduating High School Seniors Scholarship:

Description: The Hawaii Education Association Graduating High School Seniors Scholarship will be awarded to graduating high school seniors who will enroll in any state or nationally accredited institution of higher learning in the 2024-2025 academic year. Preference will be given to those intending to major in education. This scholarship is open only to HEA members, their children, and/or their grandchildren. Members must be in good standing and shall have been members for at least one year. At least three recommendations from the applicant’s teachers are required. Description: Established in April 2012, the Gogo scholarship was created through a donation to the AEA Educational Foundation, providing an annual scholarship for a 20-year period to an aspiring avionics or aircraft maintenance technician. Description: The Tommy Tranchin Award was established at The Dallas Foundation to support students with physical, emotional, or intellectual disabilities who have shown promise or passion in a chosen field of interest. Applicants must be a student and resident in North Texas in grade level 8-12. NFPA Fluid Power Scholarship:

Description: NFPA offers multiple scholarships to high school seniors, and students enrolled at community colleges, technical colleges, and universities. The Fluid Power Scholarship aims to help students pursue their interests in fluid power. The applicant does not have to be enrolled in a dedicated fluid power degree program but must be enrolled in a relevant program where fluid power is taught. Examples of these programs are available on the scholarship’s website. Past scholarship recipients are eligible to apply again but have a different essay question than first-time applicants. Air Line Pilots Association Scholarship Program:

Amount: $15,000 – $60,000

Description: The Air Line Pilots Association Scholarship Program will be awarded to a child of a medically retired, long-term disabled, or deceased pilot member of the Air Line Pilots Association. This scholarship will be awarded for four consecutive years, provided that adequate academic standing is maintained. Although the program envisions selection of a student enrolling as a college freshman, eligible individuals who are already enrolled in college may also apply. The student must be enrolled in a program of studies principally creditable toward a baccalaureate degree. Applications for the scholarship should not be submitted prior to an applicant’s senior year in high school and preferably after the first semester of that senior year. Applicants who have been enrolled in college must submit a copy of all college courses and course grades received to date in addition to the application and required high school performance data. Description: The Peters Foundation provides a limited amount of scholarship grants to high school seniors graduating in 2025 and pursuing accredited college studies in the field of primary or secondary education at a Christian college or studies related to environmental matters. The scholarship may be awarded for over a four-year period. The selection committee determines scholarship amount based on economic need, academic potential, and other analysis. The selection committee will perform a Phase I application analysis. Selected applicants will be invited to complete a Phase II application. Mitchell Scholarship:

Description: The Mitchell Institute awards scholarships each year to graduating students from Maine’s public high schools as they pursue higher education. Each Mitchell Scholar receives a scholarship award that is paid in four equal installments. To be eligible for consideration, an applicant must be a full-time resident of Maine and be on track to graduate from a public high school in Maine. Students who attend a public school in Maine but come from households with residency outside of Maine are not eligible to apply for the Mitchell Scholarship. Applicants should plan to attend a two-year or four-year degree program at an accredited college or university in the fall semester immediately following their high school graduation. Description: The Edward O. Nesheim Memorial Scholarship was created by his daughter, Sonja Adahl, in 2008 to honor the memory of her late father. The scholarship may be used at any post secondary institution of higher education granting Associate or higher degrees. Applicants must be a direct descendant (child, grandchild or great-grandchild) of a U.S. veteran who served honorably. Proof of service and lineage are required. Applicants must be pursuing a degree in some phase of Agriculture, Human Nutrition, or Medicine (Medical Dr, PA, Dentistry, Dental Hygiene, Pharmacy or Chiropractic.) High school seniors may apply. Description: The AOL Scholarship Program seeks to promote growth of the forest operator workforce by providing scholastic opportunities to those seeking to work in Oregon. Scholarships will be made available to those students who are studying for careers in: forest management, forest engineering, heavy equipment operation, diesel mechanic training, CDL license attainment, welding or other forestry related areas of study. The scholarship for technical education is a one-time payment, meanwhile, the scholarships for two and four-year degree programs are renewable. SMAC Cancer Fighter Scholarship:

Description: The Cancer Fighter Scholarship will be awarded to high school seniors who have been leaders in the fight against cancer. Applicants must be graduating from a public or private high school planning to attend a post-high school institution within the United States. Financial need is not considered. Applicants must create a video showcasing how they have been a cancer fighter, and what they have learned from the fight. Be creative and have fun. Applicants must include Peace out, cancer” at the end of their video in order to be eligible. NWFA Education & Research Foundation Wood Studies Scholarship:

Description: The National Wood Flooring Association Education & Research Foundation Wood Studies Scholarship is designed to promote the post-secondary study of forestry and related forestry sciences. Trees are a natural resource providing the raw materials that support the livelihood of those employed in the forestry industry, including members of the NWFA. This scholarship may be awarded to a current high school senior who will study forestry; or to a current college student enrolled in a forestry, environmental science, or natural resources program. High school seniors and college students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. High school seniors must have an ACT score of 25 or higher, or SAT score of 800 or higher. Description: The Kenneth R. Scott Aviation Scholarship is awarded to a Virginia high school senior who is planning a career in the field of aviation. Applicants must have their guidance counselor or other high school official sign all required certifications. They must also submit an official copy of their current high school transcript and a copy of acceptance letters or other verification of enrollment or acceptance into a post-secondary institution. Description: The Printing Industry Midwest Education Foundation offers renewable scholarships to those enrolled in two or four-year institutions and technical colleges offering degrees in the print communication discipline. In order to ensure acceptance, students must apply for admission to an accredited technical school, college or university. The scholarship grants are restricted to accredited colleges, universities, and technical schools that offer established one, two, and four-year programs leading to an associate degree, bachelor’s degree, or graphic arts diploma recognized by the print communications industry, and are approved by the PIM Education Scholarship Committee. Description: The Herbert Lehman Scholarship is a national, highly competitive scholarship that makes annual awards to qualified, outstanding students. Applicants must be a graduating high school senior, a first-year student in an accredited four-year college, or a student transferring into an accredited four-year college. Students beginning as a junior from a two-year college are not eligible. To demonstrate financial need, a combined family income of $70,000 or less is required.. Applicants must also demonstrate commitment to public service. Two recommendation letters and a copy of your SAT and/or ACT test scores are required. The NMMHA and James Knott Memorial Scholarship:

Amount: $1,500

Description: In 1995, the NMMHA established the NMMHA and James Knott Memorial Scholarship. It is designed specifically for graduating New Mexico high school senior students who live in a mobile or manufactured home, whether renting, owning, or otherwise occupying. Proof of residency in a mobile or manufactured home with one of the following documents is required: A copy of title or rental agreement; or Retail installment contract; or County tax assessment. Valley Press Club Scholarships:

Amount: $1,000

Description: The Valley Press Club Scholarships, funded by contributions and dues to the Press Club, are for students planning careers in print, online, or broadcast journalism. Applicants must be high school seniors in Western Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut who are planning to attend accredited institutions of higher education. Applicants must be seriously committed to careers in journalism. Primary emphasis is placed on the applicant’s career goals, writing ability, scholastic aptitude and overall achievement, as measured by applicant’s high school transcript, class rank, academic awards, SAT scores, and extracurricular activities. Emphasis will be given to field experience, including work on a school newspaper or yearbook, and employment or courses in journalism. Finalists are interviewed by the committee. One letter of recommendation from an educator, community leader, employer, or someone acquainted with the applicant’s character, abilities and career goals must be submitted. Charles L. Hebner Memorial Scholarship:

Amount: $1,250

Description: The Charles L. Hebner Memorial Scholarship is for high school seniors attending an accredited institution in an undergraduate program. Applicants must have an unweighted cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and a combined score of at least 1290 on the SAT or the equivalent score on the ACT. Julian and Jan Hester Memorial Scholarship:

Amount: $1,000

Description: The Julian and Jan Hester Memorial Scholarship is to assist deserving high school seniors in their first year of college and to promote community banking. All Georgia high school seniors are eligible to compete for this scholarship if they are planning to enter a Georgia university, college, or technical institute in the fall semester of 2023, following their high school graduation. To compete, students must be sponsored by a local community bank, must complete an activity record expressing their leadership activity in school, write a short essay on community banking, provide teacher recommendations and an official high school transcript. Awards are based on academic merit and not financial need. Students may submit their application through mail or personally deliver all original documents to their sponsoring bank. Abramson Scholarship Program:

Amount: $1,000 – $5,000
Closing Date: April 7, 2025
Description: The Abramson Scholarship Program offers two types of scholarships, a Full Scholarship and a Recognition Scholarship, with the distinguishing feature being the fact that students receiving the recognition awards have their financial needs met through other sources, but would benefit from the mentorship and peer support activities that are a part of the program. The Full Scholar Award amount is $2000, with the possibility of increasing awards for each subsequent year in the remaining three years of college. The Recognition Scholar Award amount is $1000. To be eligible, applicants must be graduating in 2023 from a public or charter high school located in the District of Columbia and have a demonstrated commitment to community service. National Foster Parent Association Youth Scholarship:

Amount: $500
Closing Date: April 7, 2025
Description: The National Foster Parent Association will provide annual competitive scholarships, which will be awarded in four categories. All applicant’s parents, or another supportive adult, must be a member of the NFPA. Scholarships are awarded to high school senior students who are graduating or getting their GED. A minimum of two letters of recommendation from foster parents, social workers, residential center, principal, teacher, guidance counselor, or employer are required.
