Awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation to non-U.S. citizens enrolled in a communication sciences and disorders graduate program in the United States. Up to three scholarships are available through the Kala Singh Memorial Fund. Applicants must be in an accredited clinical doctoral (audiology) or master’s (speech-language pathology) program and submit a letter of application plus three confidential letters of recommendation.

The American Meteorological Society awards this fellowship to a graduate student completing a dissertation on the history of the atmospheric, oceanic, or hydrologic sciences. Regional University Baccalaureate Scholarship
$3,500/year
Enables 11 participating Oklahoma public universities to provide up to four years of support to academically promising students. Requires an ACT composite score of at least 30 (from an official ACT report) or National Merit Semifinalist/Commended Student status. Available for up to eight semesters. Application is made directly through the attending institution.
Eligible: Oklahoma students enrolled in a baccalaureate program at a participating regional university

Awarded to promising library students pursuing a career in law librarianship. Applicants must be enrolled at an ALA-accredited library school, have at least one semester remaining, and reside within Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Delaware (with preference for the Tri-State area). At least one letter of recommendation required. Students who received a GPLLA scholarship within the prior two years are ineligible.

Maine Dental Education Loan Program
$20,000 – $100,000
A competitive, forgivable loan for Maine residents pursuing a D.D.S., D.M.D., or dental auxiliary degree with intent to practice in underserved areas of Maine. Applicants must be a Maine resident for at least two years prior to entry. Priority goes to those with the greatest financial need and demonstrated intent to practice primary dental care in an underserved area. Finalists may be required to interview.
Eligible: Maine residents enrolled in accredited dental or dental auxiliary programs
Open to children (natural and adopted), grandchildren, dependent children, and spouses of USAWOA members in good standing. Awards include $1,500 scholarships and $500 book scholarships. Requires a minimum of three recommendation letters from individuals who know the applicant personally, plus SAT or ACT scores (or a letter of justification if unavailable).
Eligible: Dependents and spouses of active USAWOA members
Supports early-career researchers conducting impactful translational research on maternal and newborn health, with a focus on preterm birth and health equity. Open to MD, MD/PhD, and PhD faculty who are 4–9 years past their terminal training and hold a full-time tenure-track position at a U.S. institution. Requires a department chair nomination plus two letters of recommendation (one from the postdoctoral mentor).

Sarah E. Huneycutt Scholarship
$5,000 – $20,000
A four-year scholarship for a high school senior attending an accredited college or university who has demonstrated an interest in golf but is not eligible for a golf athletic scholarship. Established in honor of avid golfer Sarah Huneycutt. Requires one letter of recommendation from a non-relative (guidance counselor, teacher, employer, or clergy preferred). Select candidates may be invited to interview.

American Legion Department of Iowa Baseball Scholarship
$2,500 – $5,000
Nominated by a team manager or head coach of an American Legion post-affiliated team. Applicants must be high school graduates on a current Legion team roster. Requires three letters of testimony: from the Legion coach or team manager, the post commander or adjutant, and a community leader. Winners are also considered for The American Legion All Academic Team.

Created in 1988 to aid New England students seeking a career in horticulture. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited landscape or horticulture program with senior standing in a two-year program, junior standing in a four-year program, or graduate standing. Minimum GPA of 2.25 (undergrad) or 3.0 (graduate). Preference given to those planning to work in the nursery industry. Two letters of recommendation required.

Established by Susie and Bruce Usrey of Monrovia Growers Inc. for students in accredited landscape horticulture programs at two- or four-year institutions (vocational agriculture students also considered). Must carry a full-time course load, maintain a minimum 2.25 overall GPA and 2.7 major GPA. Preference given to those planning careers in the green industry. Two letters of recommendation required.

E.C. Hallbeck Memorial Scholarship
$2,000/year (up to $8,000)
Awards $2,000 annually for four years to one male and one female recipient from each of the five postal regions (Central, Eastern, Northeast, Southern, Western). Applicants must be high school seniors who are children, grandchildren, stepchildren, or legally adopted children of a current, retired, or deceased APWU member. Recipients must attend an accredited college for four consecutive years and maintain a “B” average.

Supports APWU member dependents pursuing specialized vocational training in fields such as culinary arts, medical/dental assistance, electrical work, IT, cosmetology, or massage therapy. Research Grant Program to Assist Foreign Scholars in Chinese Studies

Awards a round-trip ticket to Taipei plus monthly grants to Full Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, and Doctoral Candidates conducting research in Chinese Studies. Duration ranges from one month to one year. Applicants must submit a research plan and at least one letter of recommendation.

Intended for students in the final stages of completing a thesis or dissertation. Requires two letters of reference — one from the thesis/dissertation advisor and one from another scientist of the applicant’s choosing.

Established in 1971 in memory of William Robert Stanitz. Applicants must be active members of their church community, demonstrating leadership among peers in their parish’s young religious community. Must be high school graduates who are currently enrolled in or planning to enroll in a college or university. Previous Stanitz Scholarship recipients are not eligible.

Aimed at bringing talented candidates into the CPA profession. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA overall and in accounting, have completed at least one intermediate accounting course, and be a rising junior, senior, or graduate accounting student. Two letters of reference (preferably professional) required, plus certification from the accounting department head. Transfer students must include a letter of acceptance from their new school.
