Let's Chat

Schedule a call with Dave Bowman so we can learn how to best support you.

Webinar Recording
This week we covered:
  • How to plan for transfer students using CAP
  • FAFSA Simplification Act changes in CAP
  • NEW: Updated and expanded list of majors and salary data
  • Accessing the College Aid Pro Masterclass in the Academy so you don’t have to reinvent the wheel when building your college planning service
  • Custodial Household for 2024/2025 school year and beyond – there was some confusion over the new rules for who should be considered the custodial household on next year’s financial aid forms. As of now, our understanding is that the parent who provides the greater financial support for the 12 months preceding the date of application will be the parent considered in the parent contribution of the FAFSA next year.
  • How to create a good test case and setting default colleges.
  • GPA-only scholarships, and schools that only use core classes to calculate GPA
  • Planning for divorced/separated clients.

And don’t forget to register for our upcoming events:
  • Next week’s 1-to-many Implementation call is cancelled – Register Here  to join us for the next one on on 2/8/23.
  • Dave also referenced the accompanying guide to the implementation calls, which can be found here. This includes the 4 year-by-year guides on page 3.
  • We’re also hosting an event on 5/25 to discuss private scholarships. Register here.
  • And don’t forget to follow us on Youtube to see all of the videos we’re putting out on timely topics for the college planning process.
