Description: The Canada Graduate Scholarships – Michael Smith Foreign Study Supplements are available to those who hold a Canada Graduate Scholarship (CGS) at the master’s or doctoral level, or a Vanier CGS at the doctoral level. To be eligible, applicants must have accepted or currently hold a CGS (master’s or doctoral) or eligible; undertake their proposed trip abroad no earlier than the competition deadline date; and not hold, or have held, any other CGS-MSFSS during the course of your graduate studies. Eligible host institutions include foreign universities, inter-university research centres, international or national research institutes or laboratories, or other institutions with a research mandate. The deadlines for application are June 10 and October 10 each year. However, all eligible candidates must submit their applications by the internal deadline set by their institution. Rizing Tide Surge Scholarship:

Description: Each year, Rizing Tide will award three Surge scholarships to graduating physical therapy students or licensed physical therapists who are entering an ABPTRFE-certified residency program and who come from an underrepresented racial and/or ethnic background. Each recipient will receive a one-time payment which will be paid directly to the residency program provider and may be used to cover any residency expenses. Description: Ortho Dermatologics is sponsoring a Dermatology Scholarship Program to recognize those who have been diagnosed with and treated for a dermatologic condition and who are pursuing higher education. Applicants need not have used an Ortho Dermatologics product to be eligible. Use of an Ortho Dermatologics product will not increase an applicant’s chance of being awarded a scholarship. Three scholarships will be awarded to undergraduate students, who must have applied to, been accepted to, or are currently attending a qualifying institution in pursuit of an undergraduate or vocational or technical degree. Description: The AIChE Minority Scholarship Award is presented to selected incoming college students annually. Description: The Communication Contest for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing is designed to offer young people who are deaf or hard of hearing the opportunity to present their thoughts in a public forum. This experience helps contestants develop the skills and confidence to present in sign or orally to a large audience. The program also provides a valuable opportunity to compete for a college scholarship. Contestants make a 4-5 minute presentation on the topic: “How to Change the World with Optimism.” Contestants may use sign language, an oral presentation or a combination of both to compete. The contest is open to contestants through grade 12 in the United States and Canada, to CEGEP in Quebec and the equivalent in the Caribbean and the rest of the world. Contestants must submit the results of an audiogram or a Cochlear Implant Programming Report completed no longer than 24 months prior to the date of the contest by a qualified audiologist. Description: The John J. McKetta Undergraduate Scholarship is awarded to a chemical engineering student planning a career in the chemical engineering process industries (CPI). Applicants must be AIChE student members at the time of the nomination and be entering their third or final year of a four-year program in Chemical Engineering or equivalent for a five-year co-op program. Selection of winners will be based on the applicant’s academic record; the applicant’s leadership and participation in either the school’s AIChE student chapter or other university sponsored campus activity outlined in the leadership activities essay; and the applicant’s career essay. Only students attending ABET-accredited schools in the U.S, Canada, and Mexico are eligible. Preference will be given to Mexican universities participating in ABET’s Equivalent Education Program. It is preferred or strongly encouraged that the nominee describe leadership activities in either the schools AIChE Student Chapter or other university sponsored campus activity. A minimum of two letters of recommendation, in English, are required. Description: The Florida Educational Facilities Planners’ Association, Inc. is a statewide organization of facilities planners and associate members involved in planning public educational facilities in K-12, colleges, and universities. The $6,000 in scholarships will be divided into first place $3,000, second place $2,000 and third place $1,000, paid half in the Fall and half in the Spring semester. Description: The Dixie Belle Paint Company Scholarship contest is open to students who must be attending college or grad school by Fall 2024. Description: This scholarship is for Maine’s nontraditional students who want to change their life for the better through education and training. The Maine Community Foundation, Inc. Long-term Scholarship Award will last more than a full semester. Chief Manuelito Scholarship Program:

Description: The Navajo Nation established the Chief Manuelito Scholarship program in 1980 to recognize high achieving high school graduates and undergraduate students. High school graduates must be admitted to a post-secondary institution with the required minimum ACT (SAT scores will be converted) composite score in combination with a minimum cumulative GPA. They must have completed required courses including Navajo Language and Navajo Government prior to their high school graduation date. Students, who do not have access to either Navajo Language or Navajo government classes, have online options to fulfill the requirement. Applicants must have scored 85 percent or better on the Navajo Language Renaissance (NLR) exam to fulfill the Navajo language requirement. Applicants must also complete coursework from American Academy to fulfill the Navajo government and/or language requirement. Undergraduate applicants must complete 24 semester college-level credit hours (or equivalent trimester or quarter credit hours) with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Students seeking an Associate of Applied Science, Bachelors of Applied Science or Certificate are not eligible as the scholarship is limited to college-level courses. The online application for the 2024-2025 academic year opens on March 15 and closes on June 25, 2024. The application deadline for the 2025 winter/spring term is November 25, 2024.
