Description: The $2,000 PixelPlex Bi-Annual STEM Scholarship was established to help support and inspire students to pursue further education in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), as well as economics and business. One student will be chosen from the applicant pool based on the strength of their written essay. At the date of the award, applicants must be enrolled or accepted with plans to attend a college or university in the United States. Applicants must provide their full name (and parent/guardian name if they’re under 18); their date of birth; their college or university; their average GPA; their expected year of graduation; their field of study; their phone number and email address; and proof of attendance or acceptance from a college or university. Description: For the 2024-2025 academic year, the LMG Foundation Scholarship will seek to award a scholarship to an undetermined number of recipients to cover the educational costs for two consecutive semesters. Scholarships are not renewable and cannot be transferred. Applicants who are awarded the scholarships will be ineligible to apply in the following cycle. Description: The Youth in Foster Care Scholarship Fund will make awards to young adults who are aging-out of foster care and want to develop marketable skills or those who want to continue their education at a post-secondary school. Applicants may be high school graduating seniors, recent graduates, those with a GED certificate, or an undergraduate in college. Students may attend a nonprofit or public educational institute in New Mexico or out-of-state and may attend school full-time or part-time. Applicants must be a New Mexico resident for a minimum of one year and have been in the New Mexico foster care system for a minimum of one year. The application must be accompanied by a recommendation from a former or current foster parent, teacher, coach, counselor, caseworker, employer or other adult who can help the committee understand why this scholarship is important to the applicant and their future. Description: NEXT for AUTISM Fellows is a national scholarship program for students and professionals interested in working with autistic and neurodivergent adults. Description: The AIChE Minority Scholarship Award is presented to selected incoming college students annually. Applicants shall be required to be high school seniors during the current academic year and be planning to enroll during the 2024-2025 academic year in a four-year college or university offering a science or engineering degree. Students are encouraged to choose classes leading to a degree in chemical engineering. Description: The Communication Contest for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing is designed to offer young people who are deaf or hard of hearing the opportunity to present their thoughts in a public forum. This experience helps contestants develop the skills and confidence to present in sign or orally to a large audience. The program also provides a valuable opportunity to compete for a college scholarship. Contestants make a 4-5 minute presentation on the topic: “How to Change the World with Optimism.” Contestants may use sign language, an oral presentation or a combination of both to compete. The contest is open to contestants through grade 12 in the United States and Canada, to CEGEP in Quebec and the equivalent in the Caribbean and the rest of the world.
