The W.E. Upjohn Institute for Employment Research announces its 30th annual prize for the best PhD dissertation on employment-related issues. The Institute has sponsored dissertation awards each year since 1995. A first prize of $2,500 is being offered, and up to two honorable mention awards of $1,000 may also be given. Eligible applicants are those whose dissertation was accepted during the 24-month period from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2025. The dissertation may come from any academic discipline but must have a substantial policy focus. A letter of endorsement from the dissertation advisor is required.

This scholarship encourages and supports students in the attainment of a graduate degree in library or information studies and encourages commitment to the improvement of library services to BIPOC students. Recipients are each awarded $2,500, a one-year student membership to CLA, and are honored at the CLA annual conference. Applicants must be US citizens or permanent US residents enrolled in an ALA-accredited master’s program with at least one course completed, and must intend to work in a California library upon graduation. Pacific Health Research PhD Scholarship

This scholarship provides three years of personal support of up to $30,000 per year, plus tuition fees, up to $10,000 in total research working expenses, and a $3,000 tufungatika allowance, for outstanding graduate students in any discipline whose proposed research will contribute to improving health and economic outcomes for Pacific peoples. Applicants must be a New Zealand citizen or resident of indigenous Pacific descent, generally enrolled full-time in a doctoral research degree (part-time and not-yet-enrolled applicants may also apply). Applicants must submit evidence of collaboration and support, including letters from supervisors, a certified academic transcript, and any relevant MOUs.

Pacific Health Research Masters Scholarship

The International Relations Committee of the American College of Surgeons offers a traveling Fellowship to Australia and New Zealand, while a Fellow from Australia or New Zealand visits North America. The Fellow spends two to three weeks in Australia and New Zealand, attending and participating in the Annual Scientific Congress of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Perth, its convocation ceremony, and the ANZ Chapter meeting, and visiting at least two medical centers to lecture and share clinical and scientific expertise with local surgeons. This student loan assistance repayment program is for dentists who treat Maryland’s most vulnerable populations, increasing access to oral health care for Maryland Medical Assistance Program (MMAP) recipients. Applicants must be a practicing, licensed dentist in Maryland who graduated from an accredited U.S. dental school, employed full-time treating MMAP recipients (at least 30% of their patient population), currently paying off student loan debt, and not in default or with an incomplete service obligation.
