Description: The Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium provides Undergraduate Research Scholarships to support qualified students in designing and conducting independent, student-led small research projects in STEM fields aligned with NASA Mission Directorates. Description: The Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium financially supports student participation in NASA-sponsored, non-WSGC Space Grant-administered, and Industry-led programs. Student teams must apply to the specific national competition or program before submitting an application for funding to the WSGC National Competitions and Programs program. Applicants must participate as a team with a designated faculty advisor. They must apply to an eligible NASA-sponsored, non-WSGC Space Grant-administered, or Industry-led competition/program. NASA WSGC Aviation Scholarship:

Description: The Women in Aviation Scholarship will award funds to support travel (transportation, lodging, meals, and registration for attendance) to the Women in Aviation International Conference in Orlando. Undergraduate students interested in aviation-related careers will be selected. Applicants must be admitted to, or applied to any undergraduate program at a WSGC college or university. NASA WSGC Collegiate Rocket Competition:

Amount: $1,000 – $3,000

Closing Date: October 13, 2026

Description: The Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium’s (WSGC) Collegiate Rocket Competition is intended to supply teams of affiliated university students with the opportunity to demonstrate engineering and design skills through direct application. It allows the teams to conceive, design, fabricate and compete with high powered rockets. Student teams will be required to design, construct, and fly a high-power, one-stage rocket that, following apogee, will be recovered safely and in flyable condition, predict the rocket’s flight performance, collect down-looking on-board video and deploy a separate lander recovered via parachute that will come to rest on a deployable structure then capture a 360-degree panoramic image of its landing site. The competition will include a series of written reports about the design, analysis, simulation, build, and test flight results of the rocket, an oral presentation, plus an assessment of competition flight data results. Dr. Laurel Salton Clark Graduate and Professional Research Fellowship:

Description: The Dr. Laurel Salton Clark Memorial Graduate & Professional Research Fellowship honors Columbia Shuttle astronaut and Wisconsin native Dr. Laurel Clark. It supports graduate or professional students in environmental or life sciences whose research has an aerospace component and who embody Dr. Clark’s commitment to leadership, balance, and improving the human condition. Applicants may be a U.S. citizen or U.S. national. They must be enrolled in, or admitted or applied to a graduate or professional degree program at a WSGC member college or university. Description: The Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium’s Higher Education Incentives program supports value-added, undergraduate teaching and training projects in aviation, space, or aerospace disciplines. As a seed-grant program, HEI funds innovative projects that increase the aviation, space, and aerospace content of undergraduate courses and programs. Proposed projects should emphasize aviation, space sciences, aerospace engineering, or other space-related or interdisciplinary STEM fields; be designed for undergraduate education/training, with a focus on curriculum development and faculty enhancement; and align with at least one NASA Mission Directorate. Applicants must be faculty or staff at a WSGC affiliate institution (industry, nonprofits, and nonmembers may collaborate if work occurs at a member campus). Description: The Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium’s Research Infrastructure Program supports faculty and research staff at WSGC universities and colleges seeking to initiate new or continue current research programs, as well as WSGC industry affiliates working to enhance research capacity, establish collaborations, and increase research opportunities aligned with NASA Mission Directorates. Proposed projects should demonstrate at least two of the following: initiate new lines of space-related research; increase research capability or infrastructure; establish collaborations among institutions, industry, or NASA Centers; link academic and industrial affiliates through workshops, seminars, internships, or technology transfer’ and integrate students into high-quality, meaningful research experiences. NASA Connecticut Space Grant Consortium Undergraduate Research Grant:

Amount: $2,000 – $6,000

Description: The NASA Connecticut Space Grant Consortium Undergraduate Research Grants are available to support and promote undergraduate research with faculty advisors at their institution. Applicants must be students at the time of application and during the entire project period at one of the Consortium Member Institutions with a strong academic record. First-semester students are not eligible to apply as a transcript showing at least one completed semester is required with the application. New applicants will be given priority over recent awardees with all grants. All research must be conducted in person and on-site. Students may be preparing for senior design projects, honors research, or searching for an educational experience, which is consistent with the mission of NASA as exemplified by its Mission Directorates. Students desiring to complete their research in collaboration with local STEM companies should contact the companies in advance and include a letter of support from the partner along with their application. Description: The NASA Connecticut Space Grant Consortium Undergraduate Scholarship will be awarded to students at one of the four-year Consortium Member Institutions, with a strong academic record. Michael Aurbach Fellowship for Excellence in Visual Art:

Amount: $7,500

Description: The Michael Aurbach Fellowship for Excellence in Visual Art recognizes and honors CAA members who have obtained an MFA or equivalent in studio art and are currently teaching studio classes full-time or part-time. The purpose is to support these artist members as they fulfill their goals as visual arts professionals. On an annual basis, CAA will grant an award and registration to the CAA Annual Conference to a qualified artist member teaching at an American or international university/community college. A jury of artists will adjudicate the fellowship and a proposal will not be required; the recipient will be selected solely based on their work. Applicants must submit 10-15 images of their work created in the last 5 years (may include multiple views of work). Time-based media can be represented in still images and/or video clips. Ruth Abernathy Presidential Scholarship:

Description: The Ruth Abernathy Presidential Scholarship, developed by the past presidents of SHAPE America to honor deserving students, is awarded to three undergraduate students and two graduate students majoring in the field of health, physical education, recreation or dance. Undergraduate awards are $1,250 each and graduate awards are $1,750 each. Applicants must be a current member of SHAPE America. Doctoral candidates working on their dissertation must be no more than one year beyond coursework completion. Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 3.5 overall. First semester Master’s and Doctoral candidates must submit the GPA based on their most recent degree obtained. Master’s or Doctoral candidates beyond the first semester must submit GPA based on their current program. Applicants must be a first time Ruth Abernathy Presidential Scholarship recipient. California State PTA Continuing Education Scholarship for PTA Volunteers:

Description: California State PTA scholarship funds are available to PTA volunteers. Scholarships for continuing education must be taken at an accredited college, university, trade, technical or adult school. Scholarships may be utilized from January 1 to December 31. Courses must be completed by December 31 of the year following the awarding of the scholarship. In order to qualify, a volunteer must have given three years’ volunteer service to PTA; plan to continue providing volunteer services to PTA; and be a current member of a PTA/PTSA unit in good standing. Description: The Wilbanks Prize is awarded to geographers from the academic, public, or private sectors whose research has made transformational research contributions to Geography or GIScience, or to Science and Society more broadly. All individual geographers are eligible to be nominated for or to apply for the Wilbanks Prize. The Wilbanks Prize for Transformational Research in Geography will be presented to those who have conducted truly transformative geographic research, specifically research which transformed geography, GIScience, and/or the world. The prize shall be made for transformative geographic research conducted in all sectors of geographical research, including in academia, the private sector, and government/NGOs. The Wilbanks Prize is issued for transformative research only; it is not given for service, education, or teaching.
