Description: This scholarship honors the legacy of the late Hon. James W. Bourque, PC. Born in Wandering River, Alberta, Bourque was of Cree and Metis background. Description: The purpose of the Prism Foundation Scholarship is to celebrate and reward outstanding scholar activists who are making a positive impact on the API and LGBTQIA+ communities. Applicants must be attending an accredited post-secondary institution in the United States in the upcoming academic year (starting in the Fall of this current year) when applying. Applicants should have a strong history of engagement within the API and/or LGBTQIA+ communities. International students may apply as long as they are attending or enrolled in a U.S. accredited institution. This scholarship can also be applied toward study abroad. Everyone is to apply. However, the selection committee will consider an applicant’s self-identification with the API and/or LGBTQIA+ communities, as these groups are core to the foundation’s mission. Description: The Pega Scholars Program supports equitable participation in tech by providing scholarships to future technologists around the globe. We aim to improve the availability, access, and equity of learning opportunities for all in the technology space. Applicants must be high school or secondary school seniors who graduated in 2024 or current college or university undergraduates, or CEGEP students who plan to enroll at an accredited two-, three- or four-year college or university, or CEGEP institution. They must be pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Technology. Description: GeneTex believes in accelerating scientific advancement and the notion that the genesis of future discoveries begins with the support of young scientists now. The GeneTex Scholarship Program will award a scholarship to students pursuing a STEM undergraduate or graduate degree. The National Science Foundation defines STEM majors as life sciences, physical sciences, social sciences, computer sciences and mathematics. Description: The Paul Flaherty Athletic Scholarship is made possible through memorials in memory of Paul and contributions of the Flaherty family. Description: Dedicated to continuing Pedro’s legacy, the Pedro Zamora Young Leaders Scholarship supports the academic pursuits of young activists working in their communities who carry Pedro’s torch forward. This scholarship celebrates and supports young people who are doing work inspired by (or similar to) Pedro’s health and social justice activism. This work is not exclusive to HIV/AIDS.
