Prism Foundation provides scholarships to empower outstanding scholar activists who are making a positive impact on the Asian & Pacific Islander and LGBTQIA+ communities. Students must be attending an accredited post-secondary institution in the United States in the upcoming academic year (starting in the Fall of this current year) when applying. The application is open to students who attend community college, university, and trade/vocational school. Applicants should have a strong history of engagement within the API and/or LGBTQIA+ communities. International students may apply as long as they are attending or enrolled in a U.S. accredited institution in the upcoming academic year. This scholarship can also be applied toward study abroad. Everyone can apply for this scholarship. However, the selection committee will consider an applicant’s self-identification with the API and/or LGBTQIA+ communities, as these groups are core to the foundation’s mission. One letter of recommendation highlighting your community engagement and/or leadership skills from someone who can speak to the applicant’s abilities, such as a peer, colleague, teacher, school administrator, counselor, employer, or community leader must also be submitted. The Shelving.com Business Scholarship is available to students pursuing and/or currently enrolled in a business-related field of study. The Jim Bourque Scholarship honours the legacy of the late Hon. James W. Bourque, PC. Born in Wandering River, Alberta, Bourque was of Cree and Metis background. Applicants must be enrolled in post-secondary training in Education, Environmental Studies, Indigenous Knowledge or Telecommunications. They must also be a Canadian Indigenous student. Applicants must submit a Cover Letter, which also includes an email address where the applicant can be contacted; and transcripts (most recent from college/university or high school). A signed letter of recommendation from a community leader (e.g., Town or Band Council, Chamber of Commerce, Metis Local, etc.) is also required. Regents Physician Loan Forgiveness Program

The purpose of the Regents Physician Loan Forgiveness Award Program is to increase the number of physicians practicing in areas of New York State designated by the New York State Board of Regents as having a shortage of physicians. Emphasis is placed on primary care. To be considered, (A) applicants must be licensed to practice medicine in New York State; (B) applicants must have completed a professional residency program within the five years immediately preceding the period for which the first award would be granted or will complete training in 2020 in an accredited residency program in family practice, pediatrics, internal medicine, emergency medicine or obstetrics. Psychiatry is also considered primary care in certain State facilities. First priority will be given to applicants who are completing the second year of the service agreement and are reapplying for an additional two-year award. Second priority will be given to new applicants who agree to practice in an area determined by the Regents to have a severe shortage of primary care physician services. GeneTex believes in accelerating scientific advancement and the notion that the genesis of future discoveries begins with the support of young scientists now. The GeneTex Scholarship Program will award a scholarship to students pursuing a STEM undergraduate or graduate degree. The National Science Foundation defines STEM majors as life sciences, physical sciences, social sciences, computer sciences and mathematics. MNF and The Gulf Coast Community Foundation will award a scholarship to an APRN student on behalf of the Eileen S. and Earl C. Whittemore, Jr Fund. In an effort to promote Oregon’s sheep industry and provide educational opportunities for students majoring in agriculture-related fields of study, the Oregon Sheep Growers Association offers a scholarship award to qualified students. The Paul Flaherty Athletic Scholarship is made possible through memorials in memory of Paul and contributions of the Flaherty family. Paul’s love for athletics, his love for young people, and his desire to help them get a good chance in life prompted him to donate funds to create this scholarship. This scholarship is open to any boy or girl who has participated in high school athletics. The applicant must be an average or better student scholastically. Process Development Division Student Paper Award

The Process Development Division Student Paper Award will be presented to a student who prepares the best technical paper to describe the results of process development related studies within chemical engineering. Papers will be judged primarily on technical merit. The student must demonstrate depth and breadth of knowledge in the subject. The work presented must be carried out while the student is enrolled at a university with an accredited chemical engineering program. The student must be the primary author (faculty advisors may be co-authors). The paper must describe original research (experimental, numerical, or theoretical) or design; papers consisting of literature reviews are not permitted. L.S.B. Leakey Foundation Research Grants

The Leakey Foundation exclusively funds research related to human origins. Priority of funding is commonly given to exploratory phases of promising new research projects that meet the stated purpose of the Foundation. Advanced doctoral students, post-doctoral researchers, and established scientists are eligible for Leakey Foundation Research Grants. This program exclusively funds research related to human origins, including dissertation research and exploratory studies. The disciplines supported include archaeology, biological anthropology, paleoanthropology, primate behavioral ecology, genetics, geology, anatomy, morphology, paleobotany, and paleoclimatology.
