The lead author must be a member (or candidate member) of the AAOS, ORS, Canadian Orthopaedic Association (COA) or Canadian Orthopaedic Research Society (CORS). Manuscripts should be original and represent a large body of cohesive scientific work generally reflecting years of investigation. Gerald Miller Aspiring Criminal Defense Law Student Scholarship:
Amount: $2,500

Description: Gerald Miller is thrilled to offer a scholarship to support law students who aspire to become criminal defense lawyers and open their own law firm after graduation. The Aspiring Criminal Defense Lawyer Law Student Scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance and empower future legal professionals to overcome challenges they may encounter during their studies. Applicants must be enrolled, or enrolling, as a student in an accredited law college or university in the United States. They must have a clear vision of opening their own firm or solo law office after graduation; and must comply with IRS rules to qualify for the tax-free benefits of the scholarship. Employees and affiliates of Gerald Miller are not eligible. American Board of Funeral Service Education National Scholarship Program:
Amount: $1,500 – $2,500
Closing Date: September 1, 2026
Description: The National Scholarship Program of the American Board of Funeral Service Education was established to provide financial awards to students enrolled in funeral service or mortuary science programs to assist them in obtaining their professional education. To be considered for an award, a student must have completed at least one semester (or quarter) of study in a program in funeral service or mortuary science education accredited by the American Board of Funeral Service Education. Students in coordinated programs are only eligible for an award during the period of attendance at the American Board accredited institution. Students must have at least one term or semester remaining in their program which will commence after the award date (April or September) in order to be considered for a full award. Students with less than a full term of study remaining will be considered for partial awards. Applicants must be a citizen of the United States, U.S. Permanent Resident, International Student (F1-Visa holder) or a student in the Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. Two letters of recommendation must be submitted: one from an employer, community leader or non-family member, and one from a faculty member of the ABFSE School (includes Gen. Ed instructors). Higher Education Scholarships for Orphans of Veterans:

Description: The Higher Education Scholarships for Orphans of Veterans, first established by the Legislature in 1943, provides support to children of New Hampshire service members who died on active duty or of service-connected disabilities to attend New Hampshire public colleges and universities. The funds are to be used for room, board, books, and supplies at New Hampshire public colleges and universities. Since 1981, the Legislature has also allowed qualified children of fallen veterans to receive free tuition through the University System of New Hampshire and Community College System of New Hampshire. Description: Industrial Metal Service believes in investing in the next generation of innovators, engineers, and industry leaders. Description: The Jacob Blanck New Scholar Award honors Jacob Blanck, editor of the Bibliography of American Literature (1943-1974). This award recognizes bibliographical and book historical scholarship focusing on printed works of writers of the United States and their publishers. Booksellers, librarians, curators, collectors, junior (i.e., untenured) academics, graduate students at the dissertation level, and independent scholars are all welcome to apply. Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada New Investigator Award:
Amount: $60,000

Description: The New Investigator (NI) program is a salary award to support new investigators who have demonstrated excellence in their doctoral and post-doctoral training and wish to establish their own independent research career. Salary awards provide an added incentive for researchers to continue or begin their program of cardiovascular or cerebrovascular research within Canada. At the time of submission, the applicant must have a full-time appointment at the Assistant Professor level or above in Canada. At the time of submission, no more than five years may have passed since the date of the first faculty appointment at the Assistant or Clinical Assistant Professor level. Applications for this award must be supported by the university or institution at which the applicant will conduct the proposed research program. March of Dimes Discovery Research Grants:

Description: The March of Dimes Discovery Research Grants are for established scientists with a history of published work in the maternal and infant health and related fields. These grants are awarded to seasoned researchers seeking to make consequential translational discoveries that will drastically alter clinical care for pregnant people and babies, whether through evidence-based prevention, diagnosis, or intervention. Discovery Grants are funding vehicles for research inquiries that are as practical as they are ambitious, as attainable as they are groundbreaking, and as transformative as they are necessary. These grants are given to researchers with inquiries that have the power to drastically improve pregnancy and birth outcomes across the US. The proposed research should focus on one of these priority topic areas: Priority topic 1 is Spontaneous preterm birth; Priority topic 2 is Decreasing Maternal and Infant Morbidity and Mortality by Improving Access to High Quality Health Care; and Priority topic 3 is Cardiovascular health conditions developed during pregnancy or exacerbated during pregnancy. Applicants may be health professionals, health researchers, epidemiologists, and social scientists with doctoral academic degrees and either a faculty appointment or equivalent at academic universities, hospitals, and research institutions; those who are employees of small businesses, startup companies, non-profit organizations; or pharmaceutical companies committed to research in the area of maternal and infant health. These applications are not limited to US citizens. The award is open to global applicants. Applicants may not hold any other current March of Dimes grants when applying. NSHSS Activism and Advocacy Scholarship:

Description: The NSHSS Activism and Advocacy Scholarship invites young leaders to share their passion for a cause they actively advocate for. NSHSS wants to hear about the actions you’ve taken to make a real difference and the drive behind your dedication. Applicants must be NSHSS high school members graduating in 2025, 2026, 2027, or 2028. Applicants must submit an educator recommendation letter. It is optional but students may submit pictures, videos or media showing their leadership in action. Judge Thomas Tang and Dr. Pearl Tang Moot Court Competition:

Description: The Judge Thomas Tang and Dr. Pearl Tang Moot Court Competition is an appellate advocacy competition sponsored annually by the NAPABA Law Foundation. The purpose of this Competition is to help law students develop advocacy skills and to foster legal talents of the future. This is the 32nd anniversary of an annual tradition that fosters crucial advocacy skills among law students nationwide. This year’s competition topic is Artificial Intelligence. Participation is open to all students currently enrolled, in good standing in law school who have completed the first year of law studies, and who have abided by the following requirements: each competitor must be a member of an Asian American/Pacific Islander bar association; and each competitor is required to submit a short-written statement. Each law school is limited to two teams. The number of teams in the competition may be limited, so early registration is highly recommended. Teams will be able to choose between online and in-person regional competitions. Problem Release is on August 1, 2025. Registration closes on September 10, 2025. Brief submission deadline is on October 3, 2025. In-person regional rounds will be on October 17, 2025, via Zoom will be on October 18, 2025. National Competition: Top teams from both regional rounds will advance to the National Competition, held at the NAPABA Convention in Denver, CO, on November 7-8, 2025. NLF awards the top winners in brief writing and oral advocacy at the Regional Competitions. Awards and up to $10,000 in scholarships are given to the top winners at the National Competition. Description: The Digital Marketing Scholarship by 10x Digital is available to a high school senior or undergraduate student who is looking to offset the cost of their business, tech, marketing or communications degree. Description: The Castagra Roofing Scholarship Program was developed to support individuals pursuing a career in roofing (or a similar field), who are passionate about innovation and sustainability. Applicants must be pursuing a post-secondary education in college or vocational programs in roofing or a similar field. Similar fields must be applicable to the building industry (construction, waterproofing, etc.). Applicants must also be passionate about innovation and/or sustainability. Applicants not planning to attend school may be considered if they fit the other guidelines and can prove that they are dedicated and passionate about entering the industry. Applicants must submit a 2-4 minute video or a 500-1000 word essay detailing their educational and career goals objectives and how they will contribute to the roofing industry.
