That’s why, in partnership with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation and as part of the Foundation’s Youth Awards, we sponsor “Haz La U” (Make the U), a college grant program for high school seniors of Hispanic heritage. Applicants must be currently enrolled in high school and must enroll at an accredited higher education institution in 2024-2025 after graduating. Description: The Good Tidings Community Service Scholarship was established for high school seniors who recognize the benefits of serving their community. Craig D. Butler Scholarship Foundation Award:

Description: The CDB Scholarship is an annual, merit based competition that focuses on instilling philanthropic values in ambitious, driven, goal-oriented individuals. Financial need is considered, however, all high school seniors are encouraged to apply. Students must be a resident of Pennsylvania or Camden County, New Jersey at the time of application or attending a Pennsylvania or Camden County, New Jersey high school. Students must be entering a two- or four-year college or university as a full-time freshman student in the fall of the year of the announcement of the scholarship award; and/or students must be entering an accredited vocational-technical school as a full time freshman in the fall of the year of the announcement of the scholarship award. NSHSS Community College or Trade School Scholarship:

Description: The NSHSS Community College or Trade School Scholarship will be awarded to NSHSS members graduating high school in 2025, 2026, 2027, or 2028 who are planning on or currently enrolled in a community college or trade school so they can pursue their goals. Many students are embarking on alternative paths after high school, from gap years volunteering abroad to two-year community colleges and trade schools. Community colleges and trade schools can offer many benefits, such as lower tuition, excellent educational opportunities in different majors, and specific training in vocational programs. Additionally, two-year programs can easily transfer to four-year programs later when students are more certain about the major/area of study they wish to pursue. Applicants must submit an educator recommendation letter. It is optional but students may submit pictures, videos or media showing their leadership in action. CME Beef Industry Scholarship:

Description: The Beef Industry Scholarship was introduced in 1989 through the Live Cattle Futures Contract of the CME Group. The National Cattlemen’s Foundation and CME Group are committed to the future of the cattle industry and continue to recognize and support outstanding youth in the beef community. The tradition remains strong today, each year a total of ten scholarships are awarded to students pursuing careers in the beef industry. Fields of study may include: education, communications, production, research or any other area involved with the beef industry. The purpose of this program is to identify and encourage talented and thoughtful students who will emerge as industry leaders. Applicants must be a graduating high school senior or an undergraduate student who will be enrolled for the 2024-2025 school year. They must have demonstrated a commitment to a career in the beef industry through classes, internships or life experiences. Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student Scholarship:
Amount: $1,000 – $30,000

Description: The Elks National Foundation will award four-year scholarships to the highest-rated applicants in the 2025 Most Valuable Student Scholarship competition. Male and female students compete separately. Students must be pursuing a four-year degree in a U.S. college or university. Applicants must be current high school seniors, or the equivalent, who are citizens of the United States. Permanent legal resident status does not qualify. High school graduates are not eligible to apply. Applicants do not need to be related to a member of the Elks. The Top 20 scholars, selected from the 500 national semi-finalists, will be selected to attend the MVS Leadership Weekend in Chicago. Cooke College Scholarship Program:

Description: The Cooke College Scholarship Program is an undergraduate scholarship program available to high-achieving high school seniors with financial need who seek to attend and graduate from the nation’s best four-year colleges and universities. Applicants must complete four years of high school in the U.S., a U.S territory, or on a U.S. military base and plan to graduate in Spring 2025. Applicants must intend to enroll in an accredited four-year college beginning in Fall 2025. We will consider applicants with family annual gross income up to $95,000. During the selection process, the Foundation will conduct a full financial review which will take into account all income and assets of the student and the student’s parents. Two academic recommendations are required. One recommendation must be from an 11th grade teacher in a core academic subject. The second recommendation can come from another core subject teacher or professor who has worked with the student any time since ninth grade. One counselor recommendation must also be submitted. Description: The Live Your Dream Awards offers three levels of cash awards. Ultimately, a Live Your Dream Awards finalist has the potential to receive up to $16,000 to help offset tuition costs, purchase books, get transportation, or find reliable childcare so she can worry less about how to pay her bills and focus on reaching her dreams. Applicants are eligible to apply if they provide the primary financial support for themselves and their dependents. Dependents can include children, spouse, partner, siblings and/or parents. Applicants must be enrolled in or have been accepted to a vocational/skills training program, high school equivalency, or an undergraduate degree program. They must be motivated to achieve their education and career goals. Applicants must reside in one of Soroptimist International of the Americas’ member countries/territories: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Ecuador, Guam, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Northern Mariana Islands, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Taiwan, United States of America, and Venezuela. Dr. Emily J. Kirby’s Texas Medical Excellence Scholarship:
Amount: $2,500

Description: The Texas Medical Excellence Scholarship was created by Dr. Emily J. Kirby to support, empower, and encourage students in Texas pursuing education in the medical field. The Texas Medical Excellence Scholarship is open to students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate degrees in healthcare either in-state, out-of-state, or through an accredited online program. Eligible fields include Medicine (MD, DO, DPM), Dentistry (DMD, DDS), Nursing (RN, NP), Pharmacy (PharmD), and other healthcare-related disciplines. American Legion Department of New York High School Oratorical Contest:
Amount: $600 – $25,000

Description: The purpose of The American Legion High School Oratorical Scholarship Program is to develop knowledge and appreciation of the Constitution of the United States on the part of high school students. Other objectives of the contest include the development of leadership, the ability to think and speak clearly and intelligently, the preparation for acceptance of the duties and responsibilities, the rights, and privileges of American citizenship. All contestants must be presently enrolled in high school or junior high school (public, military, private, or parochial, or who are homeschooled) in which the curriculum is of high school grade level commencing with grade 9 and terminating with grade twelve 12. High school students that graduate early during the school year are eligible to compete if they are not enrolled in a college, university, trade school or other institution of higher learning at the time of the Department finals contest. Contestants must either be legally domiciled within or attend an educational institution within the department (state) where they enter competition. The scholarships may be used to attend any high school, college, or university. Scholarships are good for seven years starting from the first payment requested and will be paid directly to the recipient’s high school, college, or university. The contestants must prepare an oration. The topic for the 2025 contest is based on the Amendment I; Amendment VII; Amendment XVIII Sections 1, 2, and 3; Amendment XXVI Sections 1 and 2 of the U.S. Constitution. The Contestant Application must be filled out and signed by the contestant, the principal of the high school, and parent or guardian. Both the Prepared Oration and Contestant Application must be submitted to the County Chairman no later than November 23, 2024. National Honor Society Scholarship:

Description: Since 1946, the National Association of Secondary School Principals has awarded millions in scholarships to outstanding NHS seniors. This year, we are awarding scholarships to 600 students. Each year, scholarship recipients are selected based on their demonstration of the four pillars of NHS: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character. Applicants must be a high school senior and/or expecting to receive a high school diploma during the current academic year. Applicants must also be an active member in good standing of a National Honor Society chapter, meeting all membership requirements and obligations of the local chapter. Applicants must be an NHS student account holder, verified by the NHS chapter adviser. Funds may be used at a U.S. college or university, military institute, or trade school towards qualified education expenses for undergraduate studies. International students may apply for the scholarship, but scholarship funds must be used at a U.S. college or university. Applicants must request an Adviser Certification from their NHS Adviser, which acts as a short recommendation form and confirms the applicant is currently in good standing with a local NHS chapter. Jackson Energy Scholarship No Essay Contest:

Description: Jackson Energy sponsors a scholarship program each year that awards scholarships to outstanding students in our service area. High school seniors who plan to attend an accredited college or trade school in the Fall of 2025 are invited to apply, no essay required. Applicants, their parents or legal guardian must be a Jackson Energy Cooperative member with their primary residence or business served by the cooperative. American Legion Department of Indiana, Americanism and Government Test:

Description: The American Legion Department of Indiana, Americanism and Government Test program was started in the Department of Indiana in 1984. The Americanism & Government Test is to be given in participating high schools during the month of November as the American Education Week falls on the first full week prior to Thanksgiving. This program is open to any student in the 7th and 8th grade in any public, private, and parochial school within the State of Indiana. The test is also open to all students in grades 10, 11, and 12 in all public, home schooled, private and parochial high schools. Dr. Juan Andrade, Jr. Scholarship for Young Hispanic Leaders:
Amount: $500 – $1,000

Description: The Dr. Juan Andrade, Jr. Scholarship will be awarded to young Hispanic Leaders who seek to recognize Hispanic students who share Dr. Andrade’s lifelong commitment to servant leadership. This scholarship will award $1,000 to students at a 4-year institution and $500 to students at a 2-year institution. Applicants must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as undergraduate students in an accredited four-year or two-year institution in the U.S. or U.S. territories for the Fall 2025-Spring 2026 academic year. High school seniors may apply. At least one parent of the applicant must be of Hispanic ancestry. Non-U.S. citizens are eligible to apply (DACA or undocumented). Description: Boster is proud to provide an annual scholarship to students with an interest in pursuing or continuing a 2 to 4-year academic program related to Biology or Biotechnology. The Boster Bio Scholarships for Young Scientists Of Excellence will provide scholarships to graduating high school or college students to aid their scientific research in college. Applicants must provide proof that they have been accepted into a research position in biology or medical-related lab on a full-time or substantial part-time basis (minimum 9 credit hours worth of research work for the next two semesters). For high school candidates, it is acceptable to provide a proof of significant interest in biomedical research. Governors’ Scholarship for Foster Youth Program:

Description: The Washington State Governors’ Scholarship for Foster Youth is a scholarship program that helps young people from foster care continue their education and earn a college degree. Proceeds from the Governors’ Cup, an annual golf tournament, provide funding for new scholars each year who are planning to enroll in a college or university. Selected students can access the annual scholarship for up to five years to complete undergraduate studies. To be considered for the Washington State Governors’ Scholarship, students must have a high school diploma or equivalent by June 2025; plan to enroll by Fall 2025 at an eligible college or university; have resided in Washington state for at least one year prior to enrolling in college; and apply for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the free Washington Application for State Financial Aid. Applicants must also meet one of the following criteria (either currently or until age 18): (1) Placed by a Washington state court order in any of the following living situations: Foster Care, Guardianship or Dependency Guardianship (non-relatives, relatives, residential/group care); (2) Placed in federally-recognized care (a private nonprofit agency in Washington state), classified as an unaccompanied minor and rendered legal permanent residency in the United States; or (3) Placed under a dependency tribal court order outside of your home.
