How to Pay the College Bill
May 25 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Congratulations! Your client’s kiddo has been accepted to their dream school and maybe even received a great scholarship. Now it is time to help them distribute their 529 savings plan wisely and make sure the college dream doesn’t become a college nightmare.
In this session, we will show you how to help your clients pay for all 4 years of college down to the penny, including the resulting student loans and the student loan payment upon graduation. We will review how to work with your clients to create a comprehensive college-funding plan that includes not only how to use your 529 plan most effectively but also incorporates private scholarships, cash flow, grandparent money, and other available resources available like the GI Bill. If student loans are needed we will discuss how to help your clients create a smart lending strategy to only take what they need and not get in over their heads.
Upon course completion, you will be able to:
Understand how to ensure your 529 plans distributions are qualified and tax-free
How to create a smart lending strategy utilizing federal direct student loans as well as private student loans and other resources
Learn how to incorporate parents, student, grandparents and other outside resources to create a comprehensive college-funding plan.
